Carey and Embleton

Embleton has the worst body language going.

Carey not interested. Husband positionally a shambles. Ashworth and Finnegan please.
That's it, in a nutshell, a terrible bunch of players although I still like Hubby but Coulson is better. We should have kept Morgan and Evans on, Embleton is absolutely shite and so is Carey, we need to get rid of 5 or 6 in January and 5 or 6 in because we have a first XI and that's about it.

Still, 13 points from 15, they were a horrible side and we deserved to win but the lack of strength in depth cost us that. We still have Critchley's legacy and we have to put up with it until at least January.

Players that aren't good enough; Embleton,Carey, Finnigan, Ashworth, Bees (sadly), Rhodes

Have to agree. Carey and Embleton should be nowhere near our squad. Both of them are absolute garbage.
I said it last game but Carey typifies Critchley's spell in charge. Lazy in his passing, too casual on the ball and wants too long to think about things. Ambles about never really involved in the game and never willing to take hold of a game. Embleton is the same. Both need turfing out
That aside it's annoying we drew but Lincoln are decent and 1 a piece I'd have taken before the game. Might turn out a good point but still frustrating to lose a goal at the end.

Don't like picking on particular players but I have to agree with most comments. Embleton doesn't offer anything and for some reason seems uninterested and I'm sorry but Carey really needs to get his act together if he's serious about being a professional footballer. More strength in depth is needed, but overall things are looking up.

Husband needs a spell in the priory for a Critchley detox, every time he received the ball he puts his foot on it and passes back to where it's come from

You forgot to say how good Carey is at pointing out what his teammates should be doing while he hides behind the opposition.

We had a 3 on 2 break and Carey puts the ball in the stand. He is garbage.
I liked what Carey can do at times when he was allowed freedom but there's no denying his flaws and that pass was absolutely woeful, it's a pass any professional or amateur should make easily.

It was so bad it was beyond comprehension.

Fletchers ok in some instances but he needs to be shown how to head a ball. Theres no movement from the neck down when adressing the ball positioning and using his shoulders is non existent. He does'nt offer any real threat on goal. Joseph is light years ahead of him.

Abysmal cameo from Carey and Embleton no better. Neither convince me at all. We should have defended that last corner though. Disappointing but we go again Saturday, hopefully mansfield give us a bit more space to play in than Lincoln, who mostly did a great job of keeping our wide men quiet.

Embleton looks like he’s sulking all the time, his body language sucks,he’s either unhappy about Critchley been potted or he didn’t want to be here in the first place, something isn’t right with him
Just fitness give it until December and we’ll all be raving about what an internal part of the team he is…. Possibly, maybe but I think so & as far as NC getting potted I don’t think he’s going to sulk & deliberately play a bit shit

I didn't think he could repeat the Wycombe miss, but he managed another one tonight.

Agree with the comments about Carey and Embleton, body language of both were shocking. The players on the pitch worked their bollocks off and were tiring and Bruce needed to make the changes to see out the game. Think Bruce is learning very quickly who can trust in the squad and who he can’t.

Hopefully move both on in January unless they can get their acts together.

Got to credit Lincoln though, there is a reason they don’t get beat often and that last 15 minutes you could sense we were maybe in trouble. Gutting to concede so late.

A point is a point so we move on.

Your posts are a shambles and getting worse on virtually every issue. Ashworth and Finnigan, clueless!

FFS we played well and we’ll be stronger with Norburn available. We’ll also recruit in Jan.
Stop talking shite man 😂

Yes we played well but Ashworth and Finnigan are 100 times better options.

And before you ask why are they not included I believe they are both currently injured.

We lost a lot of quality and composure when Coulson and Morgan were replaced with Husband and Carey.
Let's not forget that Husband said Carey could potentially play in the premier league so you have to doubt his judgement!

Not really, they were Fcuking awful attempts on goal 😡😡😡😡
Forwards in the prem miss open goals .Why not look at the bigger picture and you may have noticed that Fletcher has got two assists in about 30 minutes of football . Yes ,Fletcher should have at least got a header on target ,but if we take his assists away we lose another point and 2 goals scored.

He should have also made an attempt at defending the goal at the end but he didn’t….. useless lump 🙄

It’s utter madness, Hubby was outstanding in the games against Exeter and Charlton.

As for Hubby’s judgement, what has that got to do with him playing LB?

Carey has not delivered and I’m not seeing any signs he will at present. The same applies to Embleton. Neither appear to be busting a gut for the club.

If we had the option to bring on Norburn and Ashworth instead of Husband and Carey I think we would have seen the game out 1-0. Unfortunately until we have Norburn, Ashworth, Finnegan, Lyons, Baggott and Ballard back our bench will be considerably weaker than we would like.

We still need another quick striker and a winger to bolster the squad, if we want to make a serious push for promotion.

Stop following me around you absolute ** tit.

All three were a massive part of why we dropped points last night.

I never said we didn’t play well. Respond to the post or don’t respond at all.

Thank god you’re not selecting the team.

A very good performance, unlucky to concede a late goal and just the 13 points from 15.
Mate, shut the fuck up. Honestly.

We are talking about HUSBAND. Not the team. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with anyone wanting Ashworth over Husband after watching that last night especially if Coulson isn’t available which he won’t be for a few weeks.

And when he doesn't do that he hoofs it to the opposition he did it half a dozen times on the trot but he always does it wasn't just last night

Husband came on and forgot he was playing in back 4 as full back.

We gave two points away there through forgetting attacking intent and aimlessly passing the ball, checking back and looking square all the time.

Lincoln were overloading us despite having one man in the changing rooms (should have been two but that's another story).

I couldn't understand the logic of having 11 back when they were a man short. It left us with no outball and we paid the price.

Totally agree with the OP. Embleton came on and disappeared while Carey's contribution was to pass the ball straight into touch for a throw when we had men over on that side, from which they won a corner and scored.

The frustration is that Lincoln should have been three or four down by half time, with very lucky deflections ricocheting to safety saving them. On another day, we bury them. In the wider context, that's worth remembering.

This brand of football is 100x better than anything we've watched in person in years and years.

Bruce will have learned a lot about individuals last night, would not be shocked if Onomah signed today based on what he saw last night.

Like most I've tried to be patient with Carey.
I'm now sick of reading there's a player in there or if played in his best position 🤷‍♂️. He's been with us for about 40 months now, guessing (plucking randomly) he's earnt best part of 500k during that time & people bang on about his performance at Fleetwood last season.
He must be walking around whistling the "I'm a lucky little ginger b*****d" song 🎵.
PS I've given him the benefit of being strawberry blonde but after that pass last night fully downgraded to a ginger.

He doesn’t tackle and doesn’t compete for headers .

I think that Carey is sulking. He was pretty much a regular under Critch, but Albie Morgan has latterly usurped him, and he is is displaying exactly the wrong attitude when he does get onto the pitch. Embleton is an entirely different kettle of fish. One can see that he’s overweight when he trots into the action. Sadly he continues at that pace. He needs two months of brutal training before he gets anywhere near this team.
Pool needed legs last night in the last ten minutes. Anybody but those two could have provided them. Remember it Steve !
