It does shine a light on how dumb some celebrities are. I'm not sure what the point of the specialist round is, but anyone should be able to study some esoteric subject for a couple of days and get 7 or 8 points. The celebrity general knowledge questions are of a fairly low level. Achieve a comfortable 9 or 10 in that round and you're a Mastermind.

I got more on their specialist subject than they did and its not something I was interested in either, just basic knowledge.

Dont worry folks. the cast list for Dancing on Ice is just about people who are famous for being famous. Eddie the Eagle is about the only one i have heard of. Mostly rejects from Love Island or other z list programmes.
