Celebrity Traitors

I'm enjoying it, but the Faithful are pretty poor judges of character. Can anyone explain to me what purpose Lucy Beaumont actually serves ?

It's a very good series, but it's a shame they're only showing 2 episodes a week.

Joe Marler looks the most likely to find a traitor. Everyone else is hopeless so far
Joe Marler is very astute.
Alan Carr is making it for me.
It’s really great viewing, high calibre celebrities. Loving it.

Kate Garraway accurately described her 'ham' acting / reactions. The actor Mark is similar.
I couldn't believe that Claire B didn't vote for JR. She had correctly identified him and was repeatedly gunning for him, but then voted for Charlotte!
They all make out Stephen Fry is a super-brain and leader, but he is absolutely useless. His suggestion they should vote without discussing their reasons was just daft.
Celia's fart and wailing were classics. She would make a great traitor.

I personally thought Stephen Fry’s idea was a stroke of genius - it’s never been done before and I’d hazard a guess that at that point, Jonathan was in the firing line.

I didn’t know of Ruth beforehand. She was intriguing and charismatic, shame she’s gone. The faithful are playing it too safe. Cat is an amazing Traitor.
When did they kill Ruth?
It was being discussed at the end of the last episode I watched plus how Alan and Cat were going to throw JR under the bus!!

Ruth went that night so on Thursday’s episode we found out she had gone.

Wow what a cliff hanger last night at the round table with 2 faithful tied with votes as to who they get rid of. Never happened before in any series so not sure how it gets resolved- all Claudia would say is that it will be decided ‘by chance’ - whatever that means.

The bad news is that yet again the faithfuls have failed to put the spotlight on any of the traitors……they are not working together which is making easier for the traitors to avoid any heat on them.

i'm not sure how the "chance" will be decided but whoever goes would likely put the other massively under the spotlight. So JR could well get away with it again but he's surely living on borrowed time.

How JR is still in it can only be explained by faithful incompetence. He was accused by two, proven to be faithfuls, of lying about the alliance comment. Now everyone in his car who heard the comment has been banished or killed.

It’s the only solid evidence they have in there and they haven’t even bothered to follow through with it. The ‘big dog’ theory was a good one too which also leads to Jonathan.

I thought Joe Marler was pretty good until he decided to randomly go after actors last night.

It’s been a good watch but if they don’t catch a traitor soon it’s going to be a struggle I think. Not a very entertaining show if one side is awful at the game. Appreciate it’s insanely hard as a faithful but they just seem to be floundering and usually faithfuls catch a traitor by now.

I do think Nick might be a strong faithful, can’t remember who it was but he correctly identified a traitor (think it was Kat) but said he was going to keep it to himself for now so he can get further in the game. Which is smart.

Nick hasn't even got close to a traitor yet, too happy to be in the game than worry about who a traitor is.

Their logic was right around the "big dogs" and should have stuck to that because it's obvious now than it was 4 people ago.

I’m sure he said in last nights episode “I think x is a traitor but I’m keeping that under my hat”. Can’t remember which one but I think it was Kat.

My theory about the random drawing of lots, tied in with Claudia leaving the room, is that the two in the firing line will be asked to choose a bag as per the ending of previous series, to throw into the firepit.

One will turn green and the other, red.

Red is then banished.

Whoever is left is obviously in the firing line to be next anyway.

Good theory !

Some of them have identified Traitors, but then not voted for them. Clare identified JR, but voted for Charlotte instead. Joe M has promoted the 'big dog' theory more than once (JR and SF), but does not vote from them. Odd.

Joe has voted for Johnathan twice so far. He is the only one actually trying hard to work it out and observing others behaviours. Hope he survives till the end. Time for Alan & Johnathan to go.

If Nick and Lucy stay then the traitors have their work cut out.
I think it'll be one of them die, possibly Lucy then the finger points to Nick double crossing the faithfuls.

I think Nick will be seen to be too much of a risk to leave in, as he would continue to work with Joe. Did you see Joe's face when Nick revealed the collusion with Joe? He was not happy he had done that, as it made some of the faithfulls turn on them.

Its a great game with one massive flaw, the open voting, no matter what hunches people have they'll go with flow as they don't want to accuse a traitor who's not getting voted out for obvious reasons, so someone says a name, the next one does and it builds from there, every single time, especially in the early rounds.

It should be a private vote.

The issue with that is the traitors can basically pool their votes and get anyone out without drawing any suspicion.

They can anyway and there's more chance of them being revealed with a secret vote.

At the moment it's too weighted against the faithful.

I disagree Wizard. I think Lucy is a lot sharper than she makes out. She is a sort anti-Stephen Fry - everyone one he was a genius but he was hopeless at Traitors.
I agree, Lucy plays up being thick but she's sharp as a button.

I'm not sure anyone thought Fry was a genius, I've always found him to be an irritating bore to be honest.

i think it wouldn't take too long before others cottoned on that those 3 were all voting the same people. As Wizzard says it's getting to or even at the stage where Cat and Alan throw JR under the bus especially with attention turning on them a bit more. Think next week is all about how much Joe remains focused on Ross. It won't take much to get others on board and why Cat and Alan will go along with it.

I think we are agreeing that is why open voting is better than secret voting as suggested by FY8.

I think traitors turning on each other is much less likely in celebrity version as there isn't the personal financial carrot that there is on the normal one.

yes agree, open voting is much better. Celebrity or not there's still the competitiveness in them to want to win, That said, it's still so very unpredictable. Ross should have been outed a while back.

Still loving this series,
Alan is getting very very complacent in my opinion, still makes me chuckle though, but he needs to stay focussed and not feel so safe.
Sad to see Joe Wilkinson go, not always right, but funny, and quite astute.

They’re afraid to vote him off because he might not invite them on to the Jonathan Ross show again!
They’re not big celebrities so don’t get invited on to the Graham Norton show so have to make do with the JR show.
That’s what the Daily Mail reckons 😂 😜 😂
It’s obvious that at least 2 of the show’s big names would be chosen as traitors as the BBC is paying them top money to appear on the show so they didn’t want Ross or Carr voted off in the early weeks!
You’d have thought some of them would have sussed that
