Charlton v Lincoln

Interesting this has been rearranged to tomorrow night giving Charlton a massive advantage if the Imps have been struck down with COVID!

Yep it's been postponed. The fixture hasn't been rearranged yet.

We'll be the first team to play Lincoln after their postponements which certainly gives us an advantage!

Advantage? We will have played twice already if we play next Saturday and they will have had 2 weeks off

They'll certainly be well rested, but I'd rather be in the middle of a great run. Also I doubt they would have chance to train much either

Said in commentary that the Lincoln top bollocks has confirmed that Saturdays game will be going ahead regardless. They've had there last two postponed and can't rearrange anymore games in the allotted time frame.

As Hazi said, we have momentum whereas they'll be off the pace if they've gone two weeks without a game. If you're having to call games off due to COVID you won't be training either.

They're in horrific form and will now be rusty going into our game, perfect for us!

And you saw how out of sorts and off the pace Dougall was at first when he came back from having Covid.

If they aren't allowed to play then they shouldn't be allowed to train with each other. Is that how it works?

Charlton along with us will be the two teams to fear in the playoffs unless we pull off automatic.
Have they bounced back? They came across as if they were in turmoil when we played them last, think they lost a couple games after that too. I had written them off and haven't been following them since - I know they sacked the manager.

Sounds like they don’t want to play it but have to if they can, implying they haven’t trained a lot

Well rested or weakened by being unable to train, as either suffering from civil or isolating. Plus they've a stack of injuries.

Or
Doing a Burton having a break while they get some players back

Burton was more allowing new signings time to bed in, they'd signed about 6 players who all now play in their first team or something ridiculous!

Lincoln will be coming back with the same ol' squad that has been doing poorly for a while now, on top of that they'll be rusty with no games or training for a couple weeks. Watch now we've been saying all this and they'll batter us!

Sadly another 2 points we probably would have had that we were denied - a bit like the rearranged Ipswich games. All of these little things add up.

It's a crazy season in unprecedented times, ultimately the best teams will go up, fixtures being rearranged is all part of football, just not normally as many. If the fixture does go ahead this weekend, as it sounds like it will, they could be fresh or they could be rusty and missing players but we don't need to look for excuses, just keep playing as we are and I'm sure we'll get a good result.

According to a story I just read "a decision will be made soon" about Saturday's game, so we might have another fixture to fit in.

I'm sure it can't be after every other team has finished their season so would need to be 3 games in a week sometime. Hopefully not.

They also had a few injuries to some influential players on top of Covid. Their televised game against Oxford saw them with only 5 players on the bench.
I'm not underestimating them Saturday. Another difficult game.
