Chelski v Man United

Interesting how they stuck with their manager and he might have got the win which turned the season round ...

Quite simply VAR is adding more problems to the game than before it was introduced! It’s killing the spontaneity of a game that is always open to debate, human error, etc, to take it further why not have 22 referees on the pitch to really Fack the game up! It’s Bollox!

All the TV games have been crap since the winter break.
Sluggish like a pre season does this really work in this country.
I think its a precursor to the European League. Make a fuss but make room for more fixtures after abandoning the League Cup which keeps getting mentioned.

Chelsea with 2 goals ruled out by VAR, one was absolutely a goal, the other was a midges dick offside and should have stood. VAR is killing the top end of football. It needs to be binned.
Both goals were correctly disallowed. One was offside so should have stood Herts??? Harry M was stupid and that should have been a red

These stupidly close calls are not what it should be about, and the other goal was never a foul. It's spoiling the flow and the element of human error was what made football such a great thing, none of this stop, look, look some more, disallow for a mm, it's shit. I couldn't care less who the teams are I just think it stinks.

I thought VAR got everything right apart from the Harry Maguire thing.
Before VAR there was too much saying a players level so it's onside when it clearly wasnt. Neville is right...If it's offside , it's offside..simple as that.

The Giroud goal looked fine watching live, he came from an onside position and moved beautifully to the near post (not many strikers seem to move much in the box these days).
What I don't get is with the close up of Giroud's foot that was offside, how do we actually know that this image is really at the precise moment that the ball was kicked? These decisions are hair splitting - micro seconds can make the difference and the timings involved will depend upon the distance from the ball to the nearest sound monitor (if they are using audio to pick up the ball being kicked). Can anyone explain how this is done in the VAR system.
There is talk of introducing a tolerance (a bit like umpires call in cricket) but I'm not sure that this would be an improvement.
