Chris Hughton sacked

We can but hope! Shame that - was hoping for another couple of games Grace!
Yeah would of been beneficial, but the results they've had just tipped the balance. I'm just intrigued who will go there, has to be someone with a track record of turning teams around surely?

Rumours of John Terry but surely Chris Wilder is the stand out candidate and would probably take it.

I would get money on Wilder as soon as possible as he said 24 hours ago that he considered Forest to be a "Big Club" etc. etc.

More or less a come and get me!!

I also see Alex Neil is on the radar as well....That could be interesting

Forest can’t afford to get their next managerial appointment wrong, oh wait a minute they always do and that’s how many mangers in how many years? Jordan Gabriel even said on the Fulham Preview Show that he was forever having to prove himself every time a new manager came in!

Forest are right up there with the likes of QPR as the best manager changers. As soon as you take the job there, you can start counting your days

I'll never understand the mentality or logic behind the decisions. Money money always, chasing the big prize. No one gets time any more.

With a wage bill nearly 50% over their income and losing £15m last year and the window closed, then any new manager will not have much flexibility.

I think that Evatt will have more sense than go there, especially when he previously played for Derby

I've just looked at their transfer activity over the transfer window, if this is taken as an indication of their financial situation then they are in the 💩.

It was mainly loans and free transfers, with the only money being made from the Gabriel deal.

After Bolton tonked Ipswich his stock is high. Understand the Derby connection being an issue but apparently Maxie played for PNE and we have forgiven him.
I think he was quite settled at Chesterfield so maybe the area is attractive to him.

Beware the "dead cat bounce" although by the time we come round to playing them the next dose from the poisoned chalice will have kicked in. Wilder would be the absolute stand out candidate for me

How many managers have they had in recent years and all gone the same way. Think the problems at Forest are not just at managerial level.

Steve Cooper would be the sensible choice, but Florist's fruitcake owner - now looking for his 8th manager in 4 years - will hopefully go for John Terry, the celebrity candidate.

They won't prosper while Marinakis & his appointees are in charge.

Without a doubt, Forest will chase "Tim Sherwood"
I'll get my coat. 🙁
His pitch to the owners was convincing….

”Look into my eyes and you will see
What Forest means to me
Search your heart, search your soul
And when I sign off from the dole
I’m going all the way…all the way yeah!!!”

I said on here a week or so ago, that the best gig in football must be being on a decent contract but outside your clubs 25 man squad.

I've had a rethink... being a bang average manager on the managerial merry go round has got to be the best.

It's great while the goings good, but when it turns to shit, which is inevitable over a long enough timeline, and you get the sack you're quids in!!!
I bet hughton couldn't wait for it to happen in the end, £3m in the bank and absolutely no hassle!!!

And then you're linked with every job going...I see hughton is already being tipped as next RoI manager!!! Kerr-ching!!!

Makes you wonder why there aren't more managers on 1 year rolling contracts. You always see the astronomical payoffs they receive for failing.

Its almost an incentive to get the sack. Who wouldn't want to be sacked for 3mil???

pretty sure the Forrest fans want the chairman out. The next manager will be interesting. I personally think Terry would be a disaster for the club.

If they do, he should sign Arjen Robben, Marians Pahars should be his assistant and they should forge a fierce rivalry with ex Tranmere manager John King.

I'll get my coat, hat and gloves.
In goal, Joe fryer ("Air" as he's known in the dressing room!!) (had to Google him especially for this!), and get the wingers to "tuck" in.
