Dark side. You briefly mention Big Chis Malkin. In Megson reign.Cost £270,000 Blackpool record buy in 1996. at the time.
65 app 6 gls spend most of the 3 seasons
he was thier on the treatment table.
Saw him just the once. An evening game
at Watford Is only contribution was a goal with a his head from a corner.Other then
that he did sweet fa through out the match. You can say the goal he scored
was worth his inclusion in the team
The final score was 1 all

I had an ironic chuckle when he came on as a sub for some other team after we got rid of him, he lasted about 20 minutes then was subbed himself, you couldn't have made it up.

Can't for the life of me remember who it was against (defo at home and can't remember the final score) when the ball bounced to him 25+ yards out from (i think) a wayward defenders header and he struck it on the half volley and it pinged in off the post. I can remember it as clear as day cos there was a couple seconds silence of pure shock that malkin scored such a goal before our fans erupted!

We should never do business with Millwall again after selling us that crock of shit.

I think it was Milwall? Possibbly the walk to Wyndyke Farm Protest day?

Gillingham at home...We won 2-1 I think??

Yeah, was depressing, our "record signing" seemed like he was made purely of brittle bones, a looming skeleton of a thing, even when he was fit he moved like he had a broken spine, took 10 years off my life - I think I watched almost every game he played.

No doubt some good guesses for the game I'm on about... been trying to recall anything else about that day or game that gives it away and can't think of anything for the life of me. I even went looking to see if there was an old video on youtube of it. Ended up in a rabbit hole of awful vhs quality blackpool goals/ match highlights!

That was against Telford in the first round of the cup. I seem to remember he came on, and within about 5 minutes he'd had a clash of heads and had to go off to get this huge bandage on. He came back on and inevitably within about another 5 minutes said bandage fell off and he had to be subbed.

I was in hospitality that game (in that little SW corner stand no less) and I met him in the Tangerine Club after the game - he was a really nice chap, especially given all the stick he'd received both in that game and throughout his time with us. Brett had scored a couple that game and I remember him being really encouraging to Brett.

Yep, massive head bandage. Didn't he lose a toe to a lawnmower while gardening in flip flops? I've always made sure I have decent footwear on ever since.

The way Nuttall has been playing and injuries, remind me of Malkin.
He scored his first goal at Ipswich then conceded a penalty. His late headed winner against Bolton was his only real positive moment.
He still has a chance!

Think you mean his late headed winner against Ipswich pal.
He played his last game for us when we closed the Kop completely and we where in the away end. The biggest cheers of the day was when he was substituted and it was the last we would see of him. It was embarrassing that he was our record signing for years.

I quite rated him at Tranmere but we must have signed his duffer twin brother. I saw him play one decent match for us and that was Wrexham away last match of the season. As if he hadn't got enough injury problems as Wiz says he lobbed off his big toe in a gardening accident😳

Ahh that's who we were playing, I'm hopeless with stats but knew someone would remember 👍
