Clifford Tricket

Sorry to hear about this. If my memory serves me correctly, I remember speaking to him outside the ground at Wigan before the first game of the prem season. His enthusiasm for the Pool shone out but neither of us predicted the eventual score that day.

I think it's great putting his picture up especially proudly sporting Tangerine. I suggested once before there should be an obituary section where people and photos can be posted because we often know fellow fans by face but not always by name.

Clifford Tricket lived in and around Catterall/ Garstang all of his life and he was really decent person with not one enemy in the world.
Served in the Parachute regiment until an ankle injury forced an early end to that.
He then took up refereeing which he did to a very good level at his peak and at 64 he was still doing it.
A very well-respected ref in all the leagues in Lancashire.
A loyal Seasider and good friend Cliff.
He will be missed by many.xxx
