Astonishing stats (nicking @Insider's threads here!) but the Cods had 71% possession in their 1-0 defeat at Northampton last night with 14 shots on target to the Cobblers 5!

Oxford had similar possession stats here last season when we won 2-1, and similar to what we had at Plymouth (l think) and lost 1 nil. It’s a funny old game!

Heard Barton on the radio before that game & I think he had a little sideswipe aimed at us for Saturday, he said something along the lines of Tiki-taka football & it being ineffective. I wonder if he's going to do our team talk again for us.

Watched the second half after our game had finish yes I know but I’am bleedin sick of watching Liverpool/City week in week out.
Never seen such a one sided half the Cod’s just couldn’t score, the night was made even worse when ex Cod Cian Bulger scored the only goal.
I’am sure they’ll be looking to bounce back on Saturday. 😮🙄

They're shit and we'll spank them.

Start of the season and we were having loads of possession and not getting many shots on target.
14 shots on target and 0 goals suggests it was ‘one of those games’ and they didn’t have much luck. That can happen occasionally. It’s more about the performance and they have been largely consistent apart from the odd blip here and there.

Or getting desperate and shooting from anywhere in frustration.

Last night Portsmouth only managed two shots on goal. Now running at 2.77 shots on target per game with a goal resulting every other shot on target. Only Sunderand and Hull have had fewer shots on target against them. Fleetwood concede 4 shots on target per game but concede one in four of those ( 3 last night ).

Shots on target this season
Blackpool 51 with 15 goals resulting
Fleetwood 66 with 25 goals resulting

The Cods have a good front two in Madden and Evans. If we can keep those 2 in check and nullify Camps think we can come away with 3 points.

They have a high quota of experienced players. It should be an interesting battle in midfield, I've always rated Sam Finlay, so it will be interesting to see who dominates possession.

You obviously don't have the same superstitions as me! I'd take the piss after the win but never say stuff like that before a game.
I think it's a bit like printing the directions to Wembley after a first leg or Joey Bartons pre match comments last year!
Each to their own, I hope you are right Wizz!!
