Interesting test for both sides today. Can Plucky continue their momentum from the end of last season with a lot of high profile exits and can the Cods go one better than last season. What do we think of them this season? Seem to have kept their core and added a couple of decent signings.

In:

Callum Camps – Rochdale – F
Jordan Rossiter – Rangers – F
Morgan Boyes – Liverpool – Loan
Joel Coleman – Huddersfield – F
Mark Duffy – Sheffield United – F

Out:

Billy Crellin – Bolton – Loan
Lewie Coyle – Hull – Und
Harrison Biggins – Barrow – Loan

Released:

Kyle Dempsey
Matt Gilks
Conor McAleny
Dean Marney
James Cottam
Gerard Garner

I think you will find that Gerard Garner has re signed after being released

Mixed set of pre-season results - won against Wreham, Carlisle and the Nobbers but lost to Millwall, the Dingles and Port Vale. Wonder how much Joey's court case will determine their season?

The Cods have become Sheffield Uniteds dumping ground. Some Blades fans on twitter was saying the Cods will have the best midfield in division. Will be interesting when we play them.

Duffy is a really good signing for them. Sheffield United fans though he would be going to a championship club. Have to say that he really didn't look happy in his pictures though. 😂

Fleetwood will be there or thereabouts come May. How the wage cap impacts them and others is a big unknown but whether we like it or not, they start from a stronger position than ourselves. We look to have recruited well but need the players to gel, for NC to be as good a manager as he is a coach and maybe get a bit more of the rub of the green. That's what makes this season as exciting as it is, we could be average whilst we settle or we could be brilliant.

Having to play in front of no fans could seriously hamper Fleetwood until normality is resumed and crowds are allowed back in.

Oh, hang on.....

Not sure I would want to swap our defence for theirs, -

Danny Andrews 30
Morgan Boyes 19
Holgate 20
Hill 18
Ridel 19

Depending on traffic I can get to Deepdale from my house as quickly as I can get to that non league ground up the prom, shall we start threads on Knobber friendlies too?

They don’t start from a stronger position than us.

we will finish miles above them.
