Covid 4th Jab.

Just received an email to tell me & MrsDP to book for our 4th Covid jab.
Going this Saturday, 14.55.
Bloody good job Pool aren't playing, especially at home.
Found out this a.m. that our oldest Grandson (38 y.o.) has got Covid.
Won't be going near him for some time.

If it filters down to 74 year olds, I'll be first in the queue. My wife , who like me has had all three jabs, caught COVID somewhere and had one day of being a little poorly . Touch wood, I've been OK.

Complete waste of time the jab doesn't work against Omicron and all your doing is knackering up your natural immune system.
Eat well, exercise and stay healthy is far better than any crap there pumping into our bodies.

As long as anyone who is eligible accepts/declines the offer with minimal fuss then people can innoculate/anti vax themselves silly for all I care. On the day when it's officially announced that we are heading back to 1950s standards of living, this little episode needs putting to bed and fast.

Can you but I listen to both sides of the argument only last night a scientist was pulling it to bits but unlike some, are not lead by one narrative.👍
Of course you do! You've listened to Professor Dave from University of the Dog and Duck and decided it fits your narrative. You've made a pretty bold statement saying it doesn't work.
More importantly, it's got zero to do with you whether someone has the 4th jab or not.

Wilf, managed to get MrsDP her 4th at the same time. She is 77 so it's probably early for her.
However, as we're going away on 10th April it's worked out well.

I’ve got a question.

How do people who have had the vaccine and boosters but then still catch the virus and are fairly ill with it, know they would have been worse if they didn’t have the vaccine?

How do they know this?

I've had 4 jabs.
Two on the Novavax trial and 12 months later 2 Pzizer jabs. Its 3 months since my 2nd Pzizer jab. Current travel requirements are that your 2nd jab must be no more than 270 days ago but not sure where I fit in this scenario.

Well of course they cannot know. How could you ever know for certain exactly what has happened in your own body in it’s battle against an individual pathogen?

4th jab specifically targeted to tackle Omicron.
Plus, protection from the booster will be waning by now for the majority.

Bit late this 4th jab imo. Should have been before the Gov opened the Covid floodgates to a record number of cases.
I’m guessing the intention is to achieve herd immunity during spring / summer, so not to overwhelm the NHS in traditional winter flu season.

Agree with that, had ours this morning, just under 6 months after the booster.

Couldn't believe it, MrsDP and I went to Moor Park Health Centre yesterday for Jab No. 4.
When we went for No. 3 it was heaving, must have been there for well over an hour.
Left home early, got there, it was almost empty.
Straight in, registered, immediate Jabs.
We were home before the original time slot.:)
