Covid NHS app

No deleted it.
Yes
No was pinged and told to isolate for 6 days seven days after being in the venue I'd done my isolation time!

1. Yes

2. Yes (not sure when as it doesn’t give you any details at all, but most probably on the tube to or from Wembley for the play off final).

3. Yes but not for the full amount of time the app recommended. We did about six days and then both did a covid test (negative) because my wife had an appointment she really needed to attend.

1 Yes

2. Yes, and can only think it was on a train or a bus.

3. Mainly, tested myself three times, all negative, so went out for a couple of pints and a curry after the 7th of 10 days.

1 yes 2 no 3 not applicable
My son 1 yes 2 yes 3 yes, had to isolate for 6 days. He did tests every day and all were negative. That is the problem - 80 to 90% of those pinged will be negatiive and be isolating unnecessarily. That is what should change. Daily testing if you are pinged and if negative you don't need to isolate.
The other annoying thing is lack of consistency. My son traced his ping back to one event where he and 5 of his friends were sat at the same table. All of them had the app but only 3 were pinged.

1. No turned it off

2. Yes

3. Isolated for a week back in May

I take a LFT every 3/4 days and although prone to false negatives it’s better than being pinged and having to isolate

1. Yes
2. Yes, twice.
3. First time , I was told to isolate for 8 days and did so for most of it . Second time, I received a ping indicating that I had visited a venue where someone had tested positive and was advised to book a PCR test which I did and the result was negative.

No / No / N/A

A feeble attempt by the Government to pretend they are preventing the spread of a virus freely allowed through our borders. Not to mention the whole Big Brother aspect. No thanks. Perfectly capable of being sensible without an App.
