Covid seems to be spreading like wildfire

Nope. Tested positive for it twice. Early on too. No reason to believe she was lying about it. Be an odd thing to lie about actually!
You can keep testing positive
Doesn’t mean you have had it twice
Apparently worldwide there are only 5 reported cases of reinfection so if she had she’d be a medical curiosity

Yes, but it's weird that she tested negative quite a few times inbetween the two positive tests? She wasnt sick the second time either. First time she was developing pneumonia at one stage. Second time, not a sniffle! All very odd.

You have to confirm all your personal details on the GOV.Com just to arrange a time for a test.
You receive a unique QR code that only allows you to gain access to the site where you obtain a barcoded test.
That person having the test is scanned 2 times and must show ID before they even get on site just to prove who they are.
The test itself has to be scanned 2 times to confirm the correct info before it goes into dispatch....where it's scanned for a 3rd time before it is sent for testing.
It's scanned before testing it's then checked again against the info given and only then is that result sent out.
All this......for every single test.

If you booked a test and never turned up....there is no QR code scan....so no test can be issued....so no barcode......so no test can be done.
If the testing centre don't have a test barcode......they cant issue a result.
It's a bit like winning the lottery without buying a ticket

But now Seasider has said that......I'm with TAM.......

But 1 test out of (i believe) 350,000 every day......is quite amazing for the UK government.....

Dont know anyone who has it now. My next door neighbour had it twice within 6 weeks when it first kicked off mind. She is tested every week as she works in a care home.
But no. Not heard of anyone having it in Fleetwood recently.
That seems a touch unlucky maybe she just wanted 'bragging rights'. 'You see that covid thats all over the telly, well ive had it twice already' 😂 🤪
She was obvs high risk in a care home and procedures were lax early on but either she got differing strains which would be a long shot, immunity aint worth shit for some which is a worry, Or a false Pos?

Can you explain then who old people with no access to the internet get tested without a QR code ?

They arrange to have a test sent to their home, go to a walk in test site run by the council or find a teenager with a mobile phone who can get all the required info for them........I think (but not 100%) if they can also call their GP so they can arrange a test for them....

There are loads and loads of OAP's (had a guy of 89 a few days ago in Lancaster) who drive in without any problems.
You would be amazed at the amount of over 80's that are quite proficient on the phone and have no problem getting or doing a test.

I'm hoping a false positive second time round as she was absolutely fine!

I'm unconvinced about the reliability

As an aside I am aware of someone who booked a test but couldn't then make it. Three days later he was notified that he had tested positive !
I've heard similar things, this is why I am suspicious of this alleged explosion of positive cases.

The problem with the masses is that they think to themselves "I had a test on Tuesday and I was negative! Happy days!"....

But today is Wednesday...
I had a test because I've been ill as fcuk. As my partner is a key worker I thought it best to know she ain't going to work whilst living with someone with Covid 19. Nothing to do with the day of the week.

I think you've misinterpreted my post Mac. What I mean is that ANYONE can test negative on ANY day of the week and think themselves clear - but what about the next day?

Similar. My wife had it in May/June and was poorly for several weeks. She is a nurse in the Care Home sector. They are tested weekly now and although it has left her more tired than usual she is negative at the moment.
