I am flying to Spain with Little Lime 15yrs old (unvaccinated) . I, on the other hand am fully vaccinated. I cant fathom out the requirements, I have read so many sources from the BBC, Easyjet, even the Sun newspaper?? it seems I need a form to enter Spain, which seems to cost 65 euros each?? (which is more than the return flight cost each!!

My son will need some form of test before he travels for the spanish authorities? but which test & if a lateral flow, how do I prove it??

It seems simpler for me, just I have to book a PCR test before I go?, do I need to show that at the airport before I leave?

ARRRGGHH its doing my head in... so much info is out of date ie not updated for 19th July onwards..

Any advice?? Please??

Google entry requirements to Spain and look for the government.uk site which links all requirements. May depend on where in Spain.
Good luck, we are trying to get to Belgium, its a right mare.

You need to complete the form using the following link. You can include your son, and there is no cost. You can start the form now, but cannot complete it, until 72 hours before you travel. At that point you should have results of your COVID tests - no need for PCR as Spain accepts the quicker LAMP test (around half an hour to receive the result).

When you finalise the form, you just need to transfer the test certificate information and it will automatically validate. You will then receive a QR code, which will be needed to provide to the airline (along with your test certificates). You can upload online to the airline.

You also need to pre-book your return Day 2 tests. You need to have a further test minimum 72 hours before you fly home.

Excellent help lads /Lasses..... I did find the Spain travel health form, as mentioned, without any rip off costs, not sure what I do for an unvaccinated 15yr old though? for entry to spain, can I use one of his school lateral flow tests, but then how do I "validate" it or get it onto a phone for perusal by Easyjet/spanish authorities?

Just Health in Burnley 'validate' NHS tests. Have been the cheaper option for me in the past (although still a piss take)

You can use Collinson drive through on Runger Lane at Manchester Airport, but all providers offer the same service. Your lad will need a test, as the result goes on a database. I wouldn’t risk messing with a school or NHS test, you could find your whole trip halted. it costs £85 at Collinson.

So for Spain you need:

Certified Fit to Fly PCR test to enter
A certified LFT 72 hours before you return to the UK
A certified PCR test no later than Day 2 after returning to the UK

Is my understanding correct which could cost between £150 - £250 pp?

You DO NOT need a test to go to Spain if you are fully vaccinated ,you take your documentation of vaccines on either the NHS app or in paper form

From very recent experience, your son will need a test, not necessarily a PCR, the quicker LAMP is accepted. Fully vaccinated you need your NHS COVID Pass via the App or NHS letter. You upload details with the Spanish entry form and again to the airline.

It seems like a lot to do, but actually not too bad.

That’s right and there’s no charge to fill the form in .We got our Amber test package through TUI it was £20 each person, for that you get a test to take with you which you do 72 hrs before returning and you get a test when you return to do 48 hours after returning, cheap enough that for me .
