Crewe v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 17.10.20

So many children having petty squabbles and vendettas on here. Why can`t people tolerate different opinions on our team without constantly getting personal and often abusive? After all at the end of the day we all support the same team.
I'll never be friendly with Oyston supporters and I wont apologise for it.

My name's Chris and we have had plenty of words on Facebook. That should narrow it down a little. Although I have seen the amount of abuse you have had on Facebook due to your warped views.
Give him your full name and address and pay for his travel to meet you and he still won’t turn up. Threatened to batter me on Facebook tonight and then blocked me and reported me on AVFTT for sending him a kiss emoji 😂

I know exactly who he is. He's full of shit!
Get a grip. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, if you think he posts nonsense then pick him up for it with a different opinion. Insulting people is pathetic and for the record I agree with his opinion on the performance.

I can take or leave his opinion, but when he’s threatening to fight me for disagreeing with him, that’s when I no longer tolerate his bullshit.

It isn't just what he posts on here. He attacks people through social media when they have a different opinion to him (which 95% of people do by the way). I agree though it shouldn't spill out onto this forum. I will just hit the ignore button from now on. I have said all I need to say to him on social media. I certainly don't have anything else to say to him on here.

Performance was about 90% there yesterday. Mitchell needs to show a bit more intent to drive forward when he has the ball and would be a huge threat if he ran at his man when in the final third - something Turton did quite well yesterday.
Ward needs to be a bit more decisive as he slows the play down when on the ball - he also needs to get much higher up the pitch because when he does he provides more options and it’s no coincidence when he finally got in to the box that he scored! Yates needs to remember to stay closer to Madine as when he’s out on the flank he looks quite isolated. CJ could possibly benefit from drifting inside a bit more too when he’s being man-marked out of the game- the lad needs a plan B.
Madine needs a bit more positional awareness in terms of where his runners are going to be. His hold up play is excellent but sometimes the knock ons are too obvious and a fraction too slow so become easier to defend against.
The team needs to be a bit more positive and hopefully the midfield begin to make more runs forward and take some shots.

I was impressed with what I saw.
We potentially have 7 key players out of that squad too...
Garbutt
Virtue
Kai-Kai
Gretarrson
Ballard
Woodburn
Dougall

And with Gabriel and Anderson as well as Lubala, Sarkic and Kemp pushing for playing time there’s certainly room to improve further.

I still believe Critchley and squad will get us out of this mess. It is worrying though, every single week we create very little in the final third and concede goals from poor defending.

Performance was nowhere near 90% of what I am expecting...each to their own...I think Crewe will be bang average this season and we had 2 shots on target..a draw was a fair result

He's the one player I would replace at the moment - he shows flashes but a bit like the Fonz when he wore tangerine doesn't insert himself enough on the game to be a guaranteed starter.
