Crowd for Bolton with or without new man?

Bolton will bring 1500ish and home supporters will be around the 7500+
So I think you'll be looking at a 9000 attendance whether we've got a new manager in or not tbh

Bolton are taking a good few away, so the prob bring 1500-2000 +home gate dependant on Saturdays result..8500 +

Should be much more than suggested as its a derby and a bigger one.

Graysons gone as people wanted but yes were still not playing amazing but we were a bit unlucky last time out and the red card was a blow.

Should be no excuses for the majority of pool fans not to turn up to this.

I was hoping for at least a 10k crowd given they will fill the away end so only need 8k home to get that.

Everyone should encourage people to get a grip and get down.

This could be a chance to seal Bolton's relegation? But if not certainly pile the misery on them.

Could do with a win sat to give a lift.

Should be 11 or 12k for a game against them with the history. Tues night doesn't help nor does the form or the uncertainty. One certainty I can give is it will be a much bigger crowd than Gills last week. Don't care what was officially given there was no more than 5k at that game. Going for 9k v Bolton this time.

I don’t think we will get past 9k the feel good factor needs to come back and unfortunately it hasn’t yet which is dissapointing wish we could have that Southend game every week

Bolton have been given 2180 tickets, not sure of their sales so far, they went on general sale yesterday

Bearing that in mind I'll go for 10,000 then.
After the cack that was served up in the last match between them I'd consider that to be a good crowd.

Might help if the club advertised - and not just in the Gazette

Any extra exposure helps, but we can all do our bit and we all know people who go and can spread the word, get people excited for this derby game.

Honestly?
You need to rev people up for a derby game?
Nob end, Bolton and the dingles are derbys you just shouldn't miss!

Well we shouldn't need to but with people predicting crowds of 8k if that was true then clearly people would be missing, blaming the lacklustre results.

I'll be there just want as many as possible.

Wish there was a bit more promotion and build up from the club and gazette etc.

Trouble is most clubs take fans for granted, 'we don't need to promote our club, people will come anyway', wrong, got to try and get new fans on board to support the team long term. The club should advertise more and engage with the local community.

To be fair the club are doing that. We have open training sessions etc and a meet the players in the shop tommorow.

But for big games especially a derby I'd like to have seen a bigger build ups. I mean they are promoting on social media but maybe more build up each day towards it. I know radio was used haven't heard it recently.

Maybe more interviews, revisiting previous games etc.

They will bring 2k, we had over 7k for Gillingham at home, the fact it’s a night game against the murderers I would suggest over 10k comfortablly

Yep I noticed that which is great, however I wouldn't have known about it but for me actually being a supporter and seeing it on the website. I know it's not easy and you can't advertise everywhere but honestly I've not seen any promotion of the club other than when I go to the match/shop since Mr Sadler took over.

I actually think we'd have had as many as 13-14k if it had been on a 4/1/20 as

As it is I think we will creep just above 10k unless there is an inspiring managerial announcement in the meantime

Just been down to buy 5 for Tuesday.
Asked the lad how ticket sales were going.
"Errr ok mate" was the reply.

I was looking for tickets in blocks either F,G or H and there didn't seem to be many spare places. Let's hope a few more tickets get snapped up later today and Monday 👍

I've gone for a one off game in the north as not taking my lad. Sales didn't appear to be especially brisk when I bought earlier in the week.

It's a shame as this was *the game* when I looked at the fixtures at outset of the year.

Doubt yesterday's games will have many non-ST holders flooding back. Presume Bolton fans will have already bought their tickets and so I'd say a good 8500 - least unlike recent games where there have been handfuls of away fans there should be a decent atmosphere.

Bolton haven’t sold their 2180, in fact they are letting them pay on the gate so they can’t have shifted any where near

It’s a shame we can’t officially relegate them with a win. That would have been a highlight of an ordinary season.

Might be the last time we play them for a while. The mutterings in our office are that if they carrying on playing the way they currently are next season they will be looking at conference football in 2021/2022.

Considering the shambles they were at the start of the season, Bolton's away followings were pretty good. The fans were probably energised by the disappearance of the spectre of liquidation and actually having a team to support.
But their recent form has been really dire. Add in a cold Tuesday night, and I can understand the poor takeup.
We might be lucky to see 9,000.

Let's be honest, we've got a hardcore of 6/7k and if we're in the mood, we can make it a cracking night whether there's 8k or 12k there.

It is a bit disappointing that the big gates at the beginning haven't been maintained but some of the best atmosphere's have been at games with smaller crowds.

100% agree. Large crowds don't mean great atmospheres. Crowds that have a high percentage of people who absolutely live and breath for their club do. Whether thats 2k or 10k tends not to matter that much.

Good luck to all those travelling across the M61 today - bit of snow and sleet around but nothing really sticking - looks like we're in for a big dump of it around 11pm .. hoping it doesn't arrive early!
