Another one caught flouting the lockdown rules, travelling from London to Durham when off work with symptoms of the virus. Wouldn’t be surprised if he keeps his job though - after all he is running the show 😞

They made a 250 mile drive whilst both parents suffering from Coronavirus to stay with his parents so they could look after the child that had been in close contact with them during their illness - the advice was Stay Home, Save Lives, Protect The NHS - if you have symptoms then you and your family should self isolate for - was it 7 days back then or 14? - so yes, he did break Government guidelines and endangered his parents - and in the case of Service Station Stops etc. then the people following them through.

According to his journalist wife he was very very ill in bed and she wasn’t too good herself, fortunately their child was able to bring goodies to daddy in his sick bed (was that in London or Durham cause if Durham it begs the question that were Grandma and Grandpa NOT looking after him?) - thank goodness they managed to drive safely from their London home whilst so ill to one of the hardest hit COVID-19 hotspots in the UK.

Still makes no difference if they sack him or not, Cummings will still be working Sock Puppet Johnson which must be a great relief to some.

Regulation 6 of The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020 at the time don’t seem to cover the “reasonable excuses” cited for leaving the place where he resides - I think this is what you were trying to recall Gareth.

Two months of the country being deprived of basic liberties and yet the best YOUR BBC can transmit is a two old month story about a non event? 👏

I don’t think Cummings IS actually an elected representative and last time I looked the principle behind a democracy was the ability to hold a differing view and the right of free speech. So I apologise for calling you a wanker, you are of course allowed to have an opinion of your very own.

By the way, the English don’t actually have a Government of its own as it’s The Government of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.

Cummings appears to be a bit of a wretch. But this story is just more political point scoring at best. Garbage.
 
Professor Neil Ferguson was forced to quit as a member of SAGE for breaching the lockdown when he was visited by his girlfriend.

Scotland’s CMO Catherine Calderwood was forced to quit after making two trips to her second home during the lockdown.

Dominic Cummings??????.......watch this space and discover whether the same rules apply to everyone; or whether there’s one rule for Dom and another one for the rest of us.
 
It may have happened 2 months ago but we have only just found out. It was height of the lockdown. The rules were clear: he is part of the rule making authority: he broke them: he should be toast. He won't be though.
At the same time a 13 year old child dies with a nurse holding his hand rather than his parents because that was the rule.

One rule for us etc etc.
Meanwhile I haven't seen my son in over 2 months. Hey ho!!

Ferguson was outed after 4 weeks ( strangely just after telling everyone that several London hospitals were totally full, contradicting Matt Hancock), Calderwood was outed 2 - 4 weeks after her 2 indiscretions, but Dominic gets a free pass because it was 2 months ago? Yeah, whatever.
 
He won't resign and he won't be sacked. Without him Johnson would be rudderless and very exposed, he is almost more important than the PM in this administration.

Cummings is unapologetic having described this story as 'fake news'. I'm not sure how it is 'fake' as the police have confirmed that he was in Durham at the time that the story states. This government won't face scrutiny, they will just avoid giving media interviews until this blows over and boycott any outlet that asks difficult questions as they have been doing for months (R4, C4 news, GMB etc.)

One rule for the little people and another for our leaders. Rank hypocrasy.

However for the government this turd will prove difficult to flush, it will be a floater while Cummings remains in post.

He has to go. Regardless of when this occurred and regardless of who else has or hasn’t done what.
His position is untenable and his excuses or reasons are simply not good enough.
You can’t advise and lord over the nation and then disrespect and flout the very rules and policies you are party to creating and enforcing.

It'd be interesting to find out just how many people he and his wife infected on their journey to Durham.

Somebody will now be looking though CCTV images of service stations from Leicestershire to Yorkshire. They must have stopped for a pee somewhere, and maybe bought something from a shop.

Maybe that's why the R rate was so high then. Let's hope somebody who contracted COVID-19 at that time will take legal action against this TURD for viral assault !!!
