How many are likely to be here from the current squad due to loans expiring and contracts being up?

Howe, Husband, McDonald, Edwards, Thorniley

Feeney, Spearing, Virtue

Delfonso, Madine, Nuttall, Hardie.

I may have missed a few fringe players out, feel free to add.

Christ almighty, whoever comes in has his work cut out to put together a team capable of promotion, because looking at the players above, he's gonna need at least 8 players capable of starting and making a positive, significant impact.
 
Firstly we need a system which wins matches and that has been missing from about the end of November ,then we need the players to fill it.
As we have always plundered the lower reaches and the loan market ,it shouldn’t be a problem for a fresh dedicated new manager and back room staff.
The famous Blackpool fc fighting spirit and togetherness needs re cultivating.
The faithful will always get behind a fighting Pool team, that’s a historical fact!!
 
Does the list above show that the men in charge had already made their minds up over Grayson, and the signings were nothing more than sticking plasters over serious wounds?

Who from above actually added anything to the squad? Madine?

Howe we don't know about yet, whilst Thorniley has looked massively out of his depth.

Someone is going to have a lot of work to do come the summer when the next window opens.

Ward? Scannell? KaiKai? Garrity? arent they all signed up for next year? Genuinely asking, not too well up on contract lengths, also no Goalkeepers??

I've no idea about the contracts of Scannell and Ward, I'm sure one of them was only signed up until the end of the season.
Alnwick is on loan, Maxwell is only here until the end of the season, no idea about Howard.
Out of all of those players you mentioned, Kaikai is the only one who could realistically play in the first team.
 
On the plus side we get a summer of new players coming in 👍
We then judge them without seeing them play, decide they’re shoite but then bizarrely expect promotion 😁
 
I can see Spearing and Fonz departing, I would be disappointed to see the latter go.

For me there are plenty of signs SS is going to have a big financial push in the summer. The OP may be the base we have at the end of the season but the start of the 2020/21 season will see a hugely strengthen squad, I’m confident of that

Looking at the players that are likely to be still here, there is going to have to be significant investment if SS wants us competing.
I would imagine a large part of the negotiations with Jones will surround the potential transfer war chest and wage structure he will be working with.
I would also imagine he will want, demand even, far more than Evo would ask for.

Don’t write off a good number of the current squad, the right man can get far more out of them.

Moore (if we can get him)
Husband
MacDonald
Turton
Feeney
Fonz
Kaikai
Madine
Gnando
Spearing

Ronan and Dewsbury-Hall maybe on a season long loan. However, we should be looking to buy some quality.

I don’t like Heneghan, never have, and Edwards is poor on the ball, so at least one other centre back needed. Shame we lost Tilt.

Nuttall, Scannell, Ward, Virtue I’d be moving on.

It was bizzare dropping him just as we had found the long awaited for shape/formation...something MUST have gone on behind the scenes,we then started the horrendous run that we are currently on.

Couldn't agree more McDonald never started a game again after that Scunny loss in that stupid EFL cup game. l can only assume that he had a big fall out with SG as there is no other logical explanation.
 
I think Spearing is out of contract in the summer. I know he gets a lot of bad press on Twitter but I think we miss his influence at key times. Maybe not every game but good as club captain.

Spearing does a job but I do think we now need an imposing 6 footer in the middle of the midfield to dominate and win headers who can then pass onto other flare players...we get overrun to easily.
