Dale

I get that he might come good but if he's a loan with a view to buy then he's not exactly doing a lot to make critch or saddler think he's worth the money! Just seems like a weird one. Almost 1/4 of the way through the season and I've hardly even heard his name. I do want to see what he can do though, hopefully after this international break we will be able to get a look at what he's about.

We knew that he was carrying an injury when we signed him. If we had waited until say, January or summer 22, there’s a good chance some other club would have jumped in ahead of us.
Got to trust NC on this one.

To my understanding the agreement was a loan with view to buy because we didn't have enough time in the transfer window to complete the full deal, we'll be signing him permanently regardless.

He's a great young talent and hasn't even gotten a chance to impress.

Critchley doesn't throw players out when they're not 100% ready so when he's ready I am certain he'll play.

Critchley said in an interview last week that Dale was back on grass and expected him to be ready after the international break.

We have got to have some of the most reactionary fans on the planet FFS.

Aye its true. Was excited when he signed, guess I'm just eager to see him play!

🤞🤞🤞

We've no idea whether he's a great young talent or otherwise. He's just had a good last 6 months at Crewe and has a career record of 92 league appearances and 12 goals. We will just have to wait and see whether he can play at this level and is better than Bowler, Mitchell, Anderson and Hamilton who stand in his way.

I feel the same about Carey. Looked very impressive, then pffftt. He vanished into obscurity.
Sonny Carey is the most talented attacking MF we have and he hasn’t vanished anywhere. Every time he’s played he’s been very impressive and he will get his chance but at the moment it’s how you even fit him on the bench given the strength and quality of the squad. We don’t spend £100k on a non league player for nothing but he’s definitely one for the future.

You will get information on players progress, not in detail, if you listen to TTV interviews with Critch. There are, generally, two a week. Pre and post match.
Last week he spoke about Owen Dales progress. Only a line, but anything deeper is none of our business.

Do people forget what the level is we are now playing at?

This isn't Division Four where you can chuck an unfit, untried Grant Leitch into the fray and hope he does a job on Saturday. Players need to be fine tuned and at their peak just to even get on the bench for a solid Championship side.
Grant Leitch is my favourite ever Blackpool player

He was interviewed with Martin Booker in the Lounge on Saturday.

He should be match fit and available for selection by the end of the International break.

I can’t wait to see him play, I think the O/P will be “eating humble pie” I also think Carey will be “amazing” for us in time too. 🚌#87

from the Gazette, "A number of Blackpool’s fringe and backup players took part in a small-sided game on the Bloomfield Road pitch after Saturday’s win. Deadline day signing Owen Dale and Reece James, who are both recovering from foot injuries, were among those taking part."

Apparently they are arranging a behind closed doors game which they'll play in this week.

Swann, I'd actually take the opposite view of it. We did the deal knowing what we knew because we want every chance to get him here. All it does is make it more to look forward to when he's ready, because they must really rate him to put that in place.

I hope that's true! I hope he's ** mint when/if he actually plays for us! I just mean so far there's been nothing from him, obviously, because we signed an injured player.
