Dalian Atkinson

Tazered 3 times and kicks to the head leaving imprints

Looks bad and turns out he was in relationship with wonan PC he was with that day and she had a go with her baton

It appears he was ill and distressed but looks v bad

Dalian Atkinson was kicked fiercely several times in the head and struck with a baton while prone on the ground and not moving? He was not “still coming” at that point. And there were several witnesses to this. The alleged offences occurred on 15th August 2016; why has it taken nearly five years to come to trial for murder/manslaughter?

Absolutely tragic. The policeman may find that the attitudes of the public and the jury to his alleged murderous assault have changed markedly in the last few years. #BLM. Perhaps we should not comment on what we read in the middle of a trial; the mods will take down this thread if necessary.

I wonder if Bendit will be along to offer his opinion? Perhaps we should not comment on what we read in the middle of a trial; the mods will take down this thread if necessary.
You're last line mate is exactly why I logged back into this thread. To actually delete me post for something more along the lines of 'maybe best waiting til after a trial'

I'm in agreeance that the post could be removed as all it does it provoke opinions non BFC related

My post for the record wasn't an condoning one, I was trying to offer a bit of a balance and a 'maybe' view as non of us were there

Just another example of an officer shitting themselves when faced with someone bigger and stronger before feeling they have to prove themselves when the victim is incapacitated, same thing with George Floyd.

Dalian Atkinson was murdered simple as that. Both police officers knew exactly what they were doing.
Please may I say two more things before I retreat from this thread.
It's totally irrespective that BLM should have any influence on this case, it's about two police officers killing a man.
It's very sad but wouldn't sell papers if more news of what good the police do in the comunity was brought to light.

Unfortunately all you get is what the bad unlawful police get upto not the ones who genuinely want to do good for the comunity🤷‍♂️

I agree that the case should be tried on the facts. However, the jury’s decision inevitably has a subjective element to it depending on their emotions. All I am saying is that they may not be as tolerant of, or find excuses for, police misdeeds as they may have in the past. The landscape has changed.

Another bad apple.

And the police wonder why they have a bad image with the public in general and the ethnic communities in particular.

Does seem excessive force, will wait for outcome. Although these days this means didly swat. Like the army guys,no evidence by prosecution and no way of historic stuff being brought to task. Yet historical cases in other cases can be. All those IRA murderers freed. Seems its a case of who you are, not if you are guilty or not.

And thank the Lord it has, still a long way to go but.
