After watching the 10.00 o'clock news last night on BBC and its report from Hull regarding the sale of under the counter illegal cigarettes and the figures that came out regarding the practice, is it not time the Government made it a priority to stop this sort of trade, which besides being unlawful deprives the treasury of more money than the drugs trade, which in itself is horrendous.

Row after row of shops were selling these cigarettes, and hiding them in various parts. One such shop was shown with the ground beneath it dug out, and props plus a car jack holding the floor up. Around £20,000 of illegal cigarettes were found stored. The Camera team were assaulted and no action taken. The owner of the shop, a vile individual, who already had a previous conviction for the same offence could see nothing wrong in what he was doing, and within half an hour of being cleaned out of the contraband was still selling the same items, under the counter, again.

There have been a number of cases of the same thing happening in Bradford and little being done about it, probably due to lack of staffing and, if I dare say it, by Asians & It makes me wonder how many of them are also claiming benefits, as they will not be on the books as paying much tax.

Surely it would be a way of filling the black hole, left by the Tories, instead of U turning after every despised action taken has to be amended.
 
How about the Police er actually Policing?

Take disposable vapes that are now banned every shop is still selling them but the battery is recyclable.
No change there then just buy one and then throw it in the bin because when purchasing they automatically come with the battery!

Easy to get fake fags in our town(I'll let you guess the ethnicity of the sellers).
Car washes
Barbers shops
Nail Bars.
Takeaway deliverys.
The Heroin trade etc

No one gives a toss as crime pays in this country.
 
Reading some of the responses to this explains exactly why these people are getting away with it.

Go to the UK a soft touch, and if you come in on a boat you will find some sort of work and not pay any tax.

Why should you have to dare to say it's Asians?
Why should we have to dare to say Asian grooming gangs?

For too long now we as a country have been held to ransom by minority political and social groups in the name of diversity and inclusion....if an individual or group from a minority background are breaking the law then they should be be brought to justice just as the rest of the population should be.

That response makes no sense . Stopping all immigration completely has no impact on the current Muslim population only a possible future population. No 9 suggested a reduction in the Muslim population not a potential future population affected by immigration. I asked how ?
Btw immigration is checked and always has been . Did you mean boat people ?
No government so far has managed to deal with people entering the country illegally . As the world becomes more unstable expect more people to seek sanctuary here . I haven’t heard one politician suggest a single workable plan to deal with this so don’t hold your breath .
