Deluded Ridsdale and Nobbers

They initially announced that it was unsafe to house fans in that side of the East stand and stated that it was the police that had made this decision. Fair enough, makes perfect sense given the issues from the North this season.

They then put further tickets on sale to home fans. So the police have just decided that it’s fine now to have fans from both clubs in the same stand? That doesn’t really make much sense.

I think if they’d just come out and said that they were waiting to see if the home demand was there for the tickets then there wouldn’t have been any issues.

You clearly don't understand the logistics, just like the nobbers don't....

It made sense, nobbers in the north east side would mean them close to the north where stuff was launched like with Barnsley fans. Police didn't want that.

It also meant an exit issue in them maybe having to go past the north stand, police didn't want that. Or it meant another 1k using the already overcrowded exit in the south, undesirable.

The fact pool fans were allowed next to our own fans in the north wasn't a risk at all and there was 2 blocks and a media section in between opposing fans.

I think it was ott from the police, could have given the nobbers another block near the hallway line and given us the full 2 blocks near the north and still had a full block segregation.

But sadly the police went way over the top. When there was no chance of nobbers in that part and us selling out there was only ever going to be one outcome.

No conspiracy against PNE fans, just how the stadium issues and situation with ott police etc transpired.

I agree that you should have been given more tickets but had things been the otherway round and the game had been at Deepdale first and we gave you half as many tickets to Blackburn a couple of weeks prior would you want your club to give us the full allocation? I doubt it, there would have been cries on here to reduce the number of tickets given to us also.
if you sold out against us then we could have no complaints about 2000 allocation. if we get thst amount and you have 4000 empty seats (likely), then we have a right to moan.

If it kicks off on the Liverpool Legend Kop it will be down to one imbecile only....

I am amazed that the plod are allowing Nobbers to re-allocate where they sit, to be directly alongside the away support in a local derby?

Should be fiesty! 😉
It’s actually fitting they name a stand after a Liverpool legend seen as their fans are Liverpool fans too

No it was police advice.

Chief executive Ben Mansford said of the Preston game: “The police, who we ask to help us manage the threat of any disorder and risk, have been very clear that this is a high-risk fixture, as everyone would acknowledge, and they do not feel comfortable there being more than 2,200 Preston fans in the stadium.”

No mention of Police concerns there.
The Police concerns were raised following the Barnsley game.

The issues at Bloomfield related to the entry and exit routes from the East Stand. It would have been a security / safety issue to try and house Preston fans in the North Side of the East Stand, which is why the capacity limitation was set in line with numbers that could be accomodated in the South section.

The frustrations are understandable, given Preston Fans have limited understanding of our ground set up…. However nothing that happened was underhand or unexpected… It’s simply about the limitations of our ground as things stand…we essentially have a useable capacity of maybe 14,000…
