Belated Happy 70th (yesterday) to the man whose raking pass superbly finished by Mickey Burns won us the Anglo Italian Cup in 1971.
One of the select few players we've had who were Blackpool born and bred.

A very talented footballer was Dennis. It was a shame for him that he had to compete for a place in the team in a position where we were blessed with some top players at the time .

Sadly I caught him during his second spell at Blackpool, shaggy perm and all!. The club was on its knees, the ground was definitely on its knees and the team was the worst thing about it.

My wife was invited to a wedding at Fleetwood's ground two years ago. I accompanied. It was one of the footballing staff getting married who'd been at clubs all over the place.
There was a few ex-BFC at the do and at one point I was at the bar chatting to the Fleetwood Town President. He mentioned Denis Wann being there and I remarked about remembering him. He laughed out loud and said, come with me. He took me to the table where Denis Wann was sat and said, " eh Denis, here's your fan club."
