That Steve Evans thought this was a game too far for his players?, his captain gave it the Big Boy talk before the game, but he was a bit subdued and complimentary about us?

I thought before the game he was complimentary to us, as much as you can be heading into a fixture. His claim was that a win against us would be absolutely massive, implying we are a good side and will be hard to beat. Afterwards he conceded we were by far the better side, a much better reaction than some who found every excuse other than we were better than them for winning.

I think it shows two things:

1. Mind games are only ever employed by those whose sides are weaker than their opponents
2. I thought we actually dragged Gillingham in to attempting to play football which clearly exposed them
