Did we know the Summer Bash is back?

Can imagine the timing of this will be a source of frustration for the ground staff. We finish at the start of May and then they have a whole month when they could have been preparing for the new season but instead have these fixtures. Good revenue for the club and I applaud the use of the Stadium for other events but I can imagine it does make the Groundstaff's job a bit trickier.

The RFL have confirmed Sky Sports would continue to broadcast the annual Summer Bash from Blackpool.

The Championship’s weekend event will take place on 30th/31st May at Bloomfield Road.

All six games will be broadcasted live on Sky Sports.

Well we had it here last summer. They got the pitch like a carpet for August. Cpme February and it is still looking really good. So I don't think it makes that much difference? Maybe why we play pre season friendlies away in recent years to give the grass the time it needs to bed in. The revenue is great for the club and it is an event that helps local businesses with extra revenue. Also locals could attend if they like RL

Now the pitch is in a really decent condition I see this as great revenue for the club and town
Would love to see westlife at Bloomfield rd aswell

The stadium should be used more. Really in the summer it should be a goldmine for the club and if clubs like City/United can host concerts during the season, there should be no reason with protection that Blackpool couldn't do the same?
