Digital online Tax.

At least five years too late. Tax breaks for the likes of Amazon need to be removed as well, and a redesignation of their business so that traditional retailers have at least something close to a level playing field

Oh Labour would bring in higher taxes across the board. Avoid voting for them at the next election.

Digital Online Tax Proposed by Labour.
👍From me.

Digital online tax has already been put in place by the present govt for VAT registered businesses and will be brought in soon for self-assessment taxpayers. Without doubt the most stupid and inane initiative ever introduced in the mad world of taxation. If Labour proposed to scrap it I would vote for them in a heartbeat.

Sajid Javid is costing his proposed tax cuts at 39 billion, ive seen an alternative costing of his cuts at 70 to 90 billion. The reality is probably somewhere between - two questions: how does that get paid for and what benefits does it bring?

It obviously gets paid for by reduction in spending in social services, education, and probably more privatisation for the NHS. local councils will put up local taxes to compensate.

The corporate tax cuts which are proposed will not bring additional investment, at all, and the only effect on the economy will be to push up asset values. Every single empirical study has shown that tax cuts aimed at the rich and major corporations to stimulate business, have less than 10% of the money filtering into the economy.

Nadim Zahawi is promising to cut the budget of every department by 20% to cut taxes.
It's a crazy pledge to make without seeing the books.
Is there a serious candidate amongst them?
