Do the usual suspects care to comment?

Why were hospital managers allowed to shift elderly patients, some with CV symptoms but not tested, into care homes in order to free up hospital beds? Looking at that policy, permitted by the Dept of Health, it’s almost as if there was an intentional cull of the infirm. And the government has totally failed care homes in supplying them with PPE.

If something positive comes out of this, I hope it’s that all care homes revert to being owned and staffed under the NHS. And we all pay our taxes to fund them. Old people are not husks to be cast aside; most have spent 40+ years working and contributing to our communities, while bringing up families who are now our workers and taxpayers.

I don’t see anything constructive here I’m afraid.
So allowing unfettered access to the country during a pandemic is wise?

Shaking hands with all and sundry during a pandemic is a good example?

Buying 400,000 useless gowns is good use of the public purse?

Telling people to stop at home then visiting your parents in Hereford is acceptable?

Stay alert is an unambiguous message?

Where do you start?

They're a great source of profit.

I agree with no1, shaking hands well ffs, buying useless equipment, massive pressure from people like you, double standards regards the home visiting parents, agreed, still yet to read anything constructive though. Oh let’s not forget they have been working under advice from the chief medical officer, I’m pretty sure none on here are that qualified. Who should they of listened to ? I’m pretty sure the other political parties would of followed the same advise given the choice.

Hancock shouldve had care homes locked down early with adequate funding and compensation for live in carers.Nobody in and nobody out and the staff members well compensated for it.Any vulnerable people outside care homes offered choice to go into care temporarily or remain at home with live in carers funded and compensated adequately. Both requiring partnerships for priority food deliveries. That wouldve saved thousands of lives and wouldnt have destroyed the economy.

I don’t understand the relevance of that statement Lytham? You’re one of the regulars who like to regularly have a pop at the Government and when confronted with some reasoning behind the figures you just revert back to that? Are you suggesting that I don’t care about people who’ve died? Bizarre
I'm told with every post I make that I don't care about the dead despite every post being about reasons why fewer people needed to die.

So why do you think the other countries following scientific advice did it differently and more successfully?

You don't, it's as simple as that. Every post you make on this dreadful situation is purely and solely from a political point of view.

Just had the misfortune to watch Sky News. Why do they persist in asking the general public their opinions. They were in some grim street in Leeds and some thicko kept referring to the President having done well 😊 why don’t they canvas opinions from affluent areas and people who can string a coherent sentence together.

Of the two which would you prefer to be canvassed: the affluent areas or those who can string a coherent sentence together?
