Dom Thompson injury?

Moved on where, with 1+1 left on his contract, if nobody comes for him, where’s he going? Probably another loan next season and released 2025. That’s unless we make the many millions on him Appleton said we would.🤣
Someone will buy him surely.

Let’s not forget he’s got premier league experience. 🫣

This was a review on an FGR Forum

A review of Thompson on here gives him 7/10.

Wow what a bunch of tw@ts we have on this thread

He's a young lad trying to make a name for himself and a career in football after leaving his home, he's never been given a proper run of games and under a decent manager i think he could come good

Yes he's made mistakes but name me a footballer who hasn't

I disagree Phil. I think he's rubbish. And football is a cut throat business. Nothing personal to the lad and I hope he does well for himself but if we are going to have any ambition (something you always call for) then we need far far better.

He can't be rubbish as he's come through 2 Premier League Class 1 Academies you don't do that if you are rubbish

Well if he's a 7/10 at a team just relegated from League 2 in last place then he's massively underachieving. Or maybe he's found his level. His academy history belies what you can see with your own eyes. And there will be literally thousands of lads that have passed through Premier League team academies that never made it at pro level at all.

Was going to post the same, just a bunch of miserable twats who couldn't pass a ball between them belittling a young pro.

He can do a throw in

I believe that a 7 /10 is quite a good score. If you are surrounded by poor players your game gets dragged down . When with good players ,your game improves . Andy Cole would never have scored many goals if he had played for West Ham or Everton ,but playing for man utd ,he gets more and better chances to prove himself.

Scott Taylor didn't score freely without Ritchie Wellens feeding him either.

Completely agree with Phil about the near delight some have in writing him off and also with Loco who said he looks like he's trying too hard. He celebrated winning a throw in once like it was a winning goal. He looked like a coiled spring sometimes, desperate to do well. We all know it's hard to make good decisions when the adrenaline is pumping that hard. Hope he can get a handle on that and does come good, because cutting out the mistakes he'd be a very good player.

Sergei zenjov, Geraro bruna, Islam ferue, Nile ranger, sear sene & Gary madine… ok the goal machine did make the odd mistake

He's 23. All pros are good. The fact he was sent out to Forest Green tells you that Critch probably rates him the same as many of the posters on this thread do. It's not personal. People have wished him well. But he's really not very good. Maybe he will prove people wrong. But football is a cut-throat business. Many fail, very few succeed.

If you are not great at acting, comedy or any other entertainment job you end up having to do something else. And there is no divine requirement to like a player you don't see any value in.

He's 23, not 19. He's not that young. He's moved from down south up north, he's hardly travelled across the globe. He has been given plenty of chances and always makes schoolboy errors. Yes others make mistakes, but it's the same mistakes with him every time. Others make mistakes and then put in a solid performance for the rest of the game, we've seen that with Hubby and Marv (and they get rightly criticised for their mistakes on here too). Thompson always shirks out on the pitch after doing so. Good luck to the lad but he's been poor for us.

It's not personal to the lad, and just like you give your opinion on here, others are allowed to do so. I don't always agree with most of what you say, but I don't call you a tw@t for it.

Yet you slag Critchley off continously, is he not a young coach trying to make a name for himself and career in coaching? 🤔

Seen him a few times for them this season. Categorically not good enough for L1.
