He was fantastic for 55/60 minutes and dropped off due to cramp.
Well in the second half I didn't see it that way but of course I hope he goes on to do really well for us. As I said elsewhere, talking in the pub afterwards one mate who was at the game said he was brilliant, whereas two other mates who'd watched the game at home said he was found wanting. My view in the second half sided with the latter. it's one game though, and I won't judge a player on just one game.
That weird, massive throw was the result of his frustration, he was trying to get someone, anyone to make a move to receive the ball, nobody did, so he improvised. Love it.
According to wiki (not always accurate I know) he is 6 foot tall. He probably looks shorter next to our giant centre backs?

To be honest that is his best attribute and Im not taking the piss...he isnt going to get you 10 goals but he may save 10 at the other end
Connolly is more Basham than Turton. I don't think Turton is particularly good but Basham had a good career. Connolly could be as good or better than Basham.
Agree, Basham was the same could play RB, CB or CDM, Connolly is a good player for us to have and a definite upgrade on Turton.
Good game all round for the back four. Get Gabriel fit and we have a roving defensive back 3/5 with Connelly possibly playing slightly behind Gabriel who supports Bowler/Corbeanu.He had an excellent debut until cramp (hopefully) forced him to come off.
Looked very composed on the ball and passed well, especially up the line.
I was very impressed by all the new signings today, but glad we have Dom permanently.
Stand out moment for me was a brilliant back headed clearance from under his own cross bar in the 2nd half.

Not necessarily; getting promoted with a team does not guarantee that you will be in the squad next season, I can’t see for a minute that Ollie Turton would have made it into any premiership squad
He definitely wouldn't have played much, would take more than giving up takeaways to make ollie a Premier league player, good pro that he is.
Connolly MOTM for me was on a level with a few others but the goal swung it.
