Here's his take on the ressies from the old forum

Larry is keeing the new boys under wraps. He clearly doesn't to burn them out.
Sims, McGladdery, Turner, Winstanley, Adarkwa, Shaw, Tollitt, Antwi, Smith, Watkinson, Weston.

Missed opportunity IMHO. Character building!

C&P from the other board.
It's difficult to know what to make of that.
Larry is clearly protecting his first team squad from 2 games a week and passing the burden on to 16/17/18 year olds. At least it was another afternoon off school for Tony Weston!
I'm not going to mention the youth players but I will mention the two first year pro's that played and the different paths they are on. Owen Watkinson (he's on loan at Curzon and has just finished a loan at Clitheroe) played like the game was important to him. He's bristling with committment and never gives anything less than 100%.
Nathan Shaw unfortunately looks rusty. He's was the star of the Youth team last season and looked full of potential. This season he's not been out of loan, he filled the home-grown slot on the bench at the beginning of the season, without even been given a minute on the pitch. He's a classic example of what needs to change at BFC if we are ever to see youth team players coming through to the first team.
Simon Sadler said he wanted to develop young talent and I'm sure Ben Mansford has said the same thing. There's no easy answer and I accept there will be no short term solution.
For me it will probably only come when we build the new training ground. That will be the root from which the academy can grow.
So not really any greenshoots just yet but hoefully we will hear something soon.
If you are interested in the match Scrafters has done a report. I must admit though I didn't realise Ian Dawes was in charge, I thought it was the U/18s coach Danny Ventre.
