This could be interesting.

Who would have thought that nice Mr Bannon would turn out to be a wrong `un like most of the others Donald has employed at various times.

He will dismiss Bannon as a loser and minimise any involvement with the Donald - non problem for Trump
Ant enquiries will be met with fake news ,rinse and repeat
 
He will be pardoned, hence why the charges have been filed now.

If Trump loses and then charges filed then Bannon goes to prison or lifts the lid on the real goings on in the White House.
So best to get those charges sorted now ready for the presidential pardon.

Very astute. I know that Trump is happy to play fast and loose with his pardoning powers and, as such, your scenario could well hold water.

Sorry I don`t understand the comment "he will be pardoned, that`s why the charges have been filed now".

The charges have been filed through the Department of Justice`s Southern District Court, and they have name-checked the USPIS (United States Postal Inspection Service - the law enforcement arm of the US Postal Service - for their work in the matter.

Why would they (the SDNY) "file it now so he could be pardoned"?

Are you suggesting a collusion between them and the White House in some way?

I doubt that the legal process will be complete by 20 January so if Trump doesn't win another term would there be any way he could pardon him?
