Dunn did OK, we're mid-table, no rush!

I hope the board don't feel any pressure to appoint within days rather than weeks. By all accounts Dunn did OK on Saturday and if it weren't for Heneghan and some poor finishing we could have come away with all 3 points, I actually think as low as 40 will get your safety this season which we're a win away from and the last thing we need is some knee jerk reaction from the board to us not having anyone in place. It's mid-Feb - I'll be happy if in a months time we have a new man in place so he gets a good 2 months to assess the squad and start to plan for next season.

Dunn looks desperate to stand down though, I'm not sure he would be prepared to do the rest of the season.

As I say, I'd want someone in place by a months time, but just don't want them rushing just because it looks like a couple of their early targets aren't available.

I was thinking if we can't get him till the end of the season. It seems as though they don't want him though and favour an old mate of one of them.

Agree Dunn’s team seemed to do ok last week with an improved performance. Dunn himself sounded better/more enthusiastic post match compared to pre match even with the loss. The next two games will give a much better indication where this team is. Looking forward to seeing for myself at the Bolton game. So yes, no need to rush the appointment of the next manager.

I said similar on another post. He picked a good side, with our best formation, we’re not going down (or up) we shouldn’t rush just to get someone in

Must say I'd be curious to see Dunn and his side in action before the new man arrives just to see what he would've done with this side. Bringing back McDonald does me me wonder what the Hell Larry was thinking the last 3 months!

Lot of hysteria as always from the "want it now" brigade. The main objective now is getting the right man however long it takes.
As said Dunn will see us through for now and we will get enough points to stay up.
Grayson had to go as it was clear he was not going to turn it round. Lets not rush into it,lets do due diligence ,take advice from others and hopefully we will soon be challenging once again.

While I agree that the decision on the next manager is an important one - when is it not ?????????? - and that it shouldn't be rushed, I also think that it is in our best interests to get whoever the next man maybe in place and working on improving the team as soon as possible.

Where all this about it doesn't matter who takes the team this season comes from or all this "Let Evatt get Barrow up" nonsense comes from god only knows.

Surely we should want what's in the best interests of Blackpool Football Club and have little regard for the goings on at Barrow or any other club.

I am providing only one specific example and I know I've criticised others for doing the same but when we played Plymouth (2000/2001 ????? Richard Walker header game) Paul Sturrock had just taken them over and they had a diabolical away record and had hardly won away all season.

I don't know if Sturrock had been working specifically on the defence but that night you could see that they were grafting their nads off - they played big Sean Macarthy at the back - and were hard to breakdown.

The following season they won the league with over 100 points I think.

Apologies for going on but in summary let's get whoever Sadler decides is the man to take us forward, taking us forward ASAP.
