Received an email from Little Limes school today, from Lancs Constabulary pointing out that E Scooters, are illegal on the road or pavement......

So why is plod not stopping the sale of them, or stopping young scroats flying along both roads & pavements.. theres gonna be a bad accident, & some innocent person will be hurt

Not the highest on the Police agenda,.......... those motorists doing 31 in a 30 zone wont stop themselves will they....

I find them very useful, I know who to aim at if the brakes on the car fail.
 
Rumours Manny Macron scoots about the Elysee Palace on one and his wife borrows it to go down to the Bureau Des Postes to pick up her state pension.
 
I have noticed recently that a rather large lady has started going for a ride around lunchtime on an electric bike almost everyday past our house. I have seen her probably about 20 times by now in recent months. She hasn't peddled once. Not a single time. I mean, not even a single foot has ever moved. She just sits there, whizzing along, letting the battery do all the work. I hope that's not her idea of exercise to lose weight.

That was last week before the French fishermen blockaded the corridors and the yellow jackets took over the Bureau Des Postes
 
Last time I was back in Blackpool I wondered if they had the same impact in the UK as they have in Germany and was pleased to see they haven't.

Munich is littered with them hundreds all over the place for rent. You use an app scan the code on the scooter drive it as far as you like when you get there leave it for the next guy to rent. Handy but a complete nuisance and ugly to see them abandoned.

Your first point.....thats not their job, its Trading Standards, as far as I know its not illegal to sell them.
Your second point....they do.

Yesterday, I was overtaken by a Pillock on an electric bike, breaking the speed limit. Unbelievable, dressed all in black I hadn't seen him coming up on my offside until he was level with me.

There are certain UK towns listed here which have been running trails. Liverpool is one and is a bit like what you describe in Munich.

When we went to Bristol City away they were being piloted there. An utter menace weaving in and out of lanes and with no helmets. Should be banned permanently
