I see Wales got a good hiding last night at the hands of Ireland (sorry Gareth) 6 straight defeats now on the bounce when did that last happen to a Wales side?
England v Georgia today and Italy v Scotland, looking forward to seeing Georgia and Fiji in this competition if not just to spice it up a bit.
Staying with R U got up early this morning to watch a great game of rugby Argentina beat the All Blacks for the first time ever in their history, all blacks lost 2 on the bounce now having lost to the Wallabies last week. 😮
Come on England. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Wayne Pivac sucks. Loads of in fighting behind the scenes. Need to get rid of him and offer the head coach job to Shaun Edward's.

Amazing result for the Puma's, that's on a par with Brazil losing to Scotland 🥴

Looking forward to this afternoon's England game and the first start for Wasp's flanker Jack Willis who had a brilliant season with a record number of steals.

I see the England game is on Amazon Prime, another expense to watch sport 🙄

Wow the Argies 😱

Watched the highlights against NZ from last year again recently. Dunno if the all blacks just couldn't get going but we were ridiculously good. Shame it didn't carry on to the game after 😭

It's a funny thing about Rugby Union. Five minutes of watching it makes me yearn for something more exciting and visually appealing. Like dressage.

Proper men playing a men’s game play with cuts and bruises and never fake injuries not like the overpaid prima donnas of the football world who go down after the slightest touch then roll around for 5 minutes afterwards holding anything they can. 🙄

Each to their own Bas but it is a great game played by men and as Jaffa eludes to, they just get on with it regardless of the injuries.
And the respect they show to the referees is commendable, whereas in football, everyone has a go at the ref.

For those interested the latest from Twickers after half an hour.

England 14 Georgia 0

Edit make that 19-0. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Edit H/T 26-0 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Last game I watched, literally nothing happened as the ref kept resetting a scrum. Unbelievable waste of time. Went from 73 minutes to the end of the game without the ball being in play. Dull game.

All Blacks not the force they were ,lived there 23 years and can only remember them losing around five times at home ,a lot of youngsters now moving to football or soccer as they call it .

South Shore, that is real, if I'd mentioned the Pumas would beat the AB any time as long as I've followed sport I'd been laughed off as a dim witted f@ckwit.

Well yesterday it happened pal.
Agree it was an incredible result, but Argentina are no pushover and haven't been for years, they have benefited from being included in the tri-nations tournament with Australia, NZ and SA, and don't forget they have finished 3 and 4 in World cups.

Agreed Victor but that's the Argies first win against them after 33 previous failures, I'd say that's pretty special. Big shout out to former Aussie coach Michael Cheika, since he's come in as an assistant their stock has rose immensely.

That's a bit rich coming from someone who likes "rugby lite", with all that padding and ad breaks, from across the pond. 😀
Dont forget umpteen 'half times' to 'catch a hotdog and a soda '. Makes me yearn for something more exciting and visually appealing like Eminem singing 'Star spangled banner' in street cred rap style.

I'd roll my eyes but I think my head has just fallen off thinking about it.

Is it still the case that New Zealand doesn't have a professional soccer league? I remember a commentator giving out that info at a world cup.

I think NZhave one team in the Australian A league Wellington Phoenix, one player with a local connection ,David Ball ex cods .
The rest are semi pros so I believe and back in the day ,with mostly ex English non league players ,reached the 1982 World cup finals losing to Brazil and Scotland ,with Fleetwood born John Adshead being head coach .

I live in Auckland. They have there own league but not a high standard or very popular re fans. The Phoenix are the only real professional team and play in the Australisn A league (much better standard). Out of the squad of 23 they are mostly Kiwis. They have approx 4 Aussies and 3 or 4 imports (David Ball is one and another is Mexican).

Bump: anybody watch the final yesterday? We looked less than convincing to say the least.

Oh and Farrell's kicking...... at least the important one went over (one of them).

Watched most of second half and of course the extra time.
I really thought the French would hold out as nothing was going right for England.
Especially the penalty misses.
