I'm particularly pleased for the likes of Jill Scott, Nikita Parris and Ellen White.
They started their careers way before the WSL, amateurs who were dependent on the support of parents & family.
They weren't in it for the money - there wasn't any - but because they loved their sport.
Much like many Olympians, it's great to see that dedication and those sacrifices rewarded with the achievement they'd dreamt of

I know of Jill Scott from seemingly being involved in every womens game that was shown on TV a few years ago.

When they did the trophy lift last night the team leaders passed it straight on to Scott and Ellen White.

Watching the old guard and the new guard you can definitely see where the investment has kicked in but a really nice mark of respect to what I guess are living legends of their game.
