Enjoying the win with a few beers.....

......even if everything else that’s going on in the world at the moment seems quite depressing. That’s the great thing about a win on a Saturday, enjoy your night chaps 😀😀😀🍺
👍 Although I may have had a little kip at some point between 3pm and 5pm, which should at least enable me to stay up a bit later tonight. Say 9 or even 9.30.

Me and wife got Covid and don't feel brill but you enjoy your beers. If I were well, I'd be doing the same.

That’s the spirit mosser. Always good when the pool win . Enjoy .

Yes we popped out for a couple, nicely socially distanced and order at your table. Couple of bottles wine brought in and I’m making Chicken Jalfrezi 👍 Whilst my wife watches Strictly
Wife’s nipped to Lytham to pick up Whelan’s fish and chips for me and the kids mate....... might just get another beer in before she’s back 😀 Enjoy 👍🏼

Oh bless you, take care and rest up.
What are your symptoms ? And do you know where you contracted it ?
A week away in North Yorks, we think - Rippon area.
Symptoms is an odd one. Me, coughing - lots of it because I have a pre-existing condition. Also, loss of taste and feeling washed out.
My wife has very little coughing but she has a temperature with flu-like symptoms.
We're self-isolating, as per the app, but I think it'll go on longer than the app says.
Anyway, chin up and thanks for your concern.

I have been ill for the last 10 days with the exact same symptoms. But my test came back negative. I'm now on steroids and antibiotics and after 13 days I still feel like shite. Horrific cough, no taste, smell, hearing poor, zero energy, temp up and down like a yoyo from sweating to freezing. Strange times. Never felt like this before but my test said I was covid free.

Hope you both get well. Sounds nasty.

Well just keep resting, imperative 👍 Hopefully you’ve got someone who can get you the essentials? And don’t push yourselves.
Take care x

Can you take another test Mac ? They aren’t always reliable still 🥴

The tests can be wrong.
Sounds like Covid to me. Treat it like Covid and have another test at some point.

Sounds exactly like what I had earlier in the year to the point that steroids were prescribed. The shivering and burning was bloody awful too. Chin up x

Thanks for that. I have been thinking the same but you just trust the science. I will go for another test.
Similar here. Different symptoms though; more (ahem..) gastrointestinal with banging headaches and fatigue. Had it for two weeks now so hopefully it’s almost run its course. Test on Wednesday which was also negative. I read they are about 70% reliable but obviously, on the flip side, if you catch anything these days you assume it’s Covid.

Problem is Mex that these tests check for a virus....... that includes the common cold and both types of hepatitis etc etc

Mosser,
Sorry but I feel as if I've hijacked your thread here mate. I hope you've enjoyed your beers.

Lat time I went to Whelans it was gross and served by some obnoxious European. Devi Rd for me from now, vastly improved and at half the price.

It was a bloody awful game s as d we were shite but great to get three points - made up and great got Kai Kai to get a goal as he’s a confidence player - great stuff.

Mac - sorry you’re not good but are you sure you’re symptoms aren’t linked to last weeks result !!! Wpc is well missed on here , sure he would have had some banter with you over that !!!

maybe you could check out with your best mate allez on the lack of taste - sure he can recommend a concoction that’ll get your taste buds racing !!!

hope u feel better though.

just enjoy a seaside 3 points much needed - brew dog compilation cans are opened a
No lubricating along with a bottle of red and a 2 for 1 bar of dairy milk !!!

yep Saturday nites are rocking here, can’t wait for lockdown to end and I can dust off the glow sticks, get out the vinyl and get rocking !!!

come on youpooooool

What's happened. Always enjoyed some arguments with WPC. Shame he's not on here really. Funny on a Saturday night he was.
He came back on with a new username after a ban onto this heavily moderated site and was banned almost immediately again as this is Vanilla and Snowflake and anything remotely “naughty” is too much for the children to be expected to bear!! 😞

Sorry to hear that, I hope you get a speedy recovery, it must be horrible.

Get another test Mac, it sounds like Covid and they are only 80% accurate.

As for the O/P I always feel better after a win. I missed the first half and when I started watching in the second half we looked like a team devoid of ideas and confidence and I thought they could see we were there for the taking. We then got a goal out of nowhere and we were then lifted and of course the game opened up and we looked a lot better and could have scored another couple. They didn't come close.

it shows that we struggle to break a team down who come for a point or stifle us, so that needs to be worked out. The back 4 looked decent although Turton isn't a wing back and we looked better when the subs came on.

It was an important win for the team nd manager as they can enjoy the weekend and the confidence will have improved. It will be interesting to see how we go on Tuesday.

As Critch said in his press conference we will be set up differently for Tuesday...... bring it on 👍🏼
