Surely Ennis due to return this weekend .
He was posing in his full kit. Hmmm??He’s just posted himself in his Blackpool kit on his Instagram story. Think that means he’s now ready to return to training
It was him in action for us… I’ll take that as he is good to return. He was posing in his full kit. Hmmm??
Surely? Why is it surely?Surely Ennis due to return this weekend .
Blimey, calm down. Semantics. I took it to mean 'hopefully'.Surely? Why is it surely?
The manager has already said that Achilles injuries take longer to heal due to restricted blood flow in that area, he also said they'll update when they're is an update to give.
But coz you want him back it's a surely?
Shall I post a picture of myself in gym gear? He’s just posted himself in his Blackpool kit on his Instagram story. Think that means he’s now ready to return to training![]()
Haha I think there maybe a big difference from your regular Joe posting a picture and a pro footballer ;-)Shall I post a picture of myself in gym gear?
Do you think that means I'll be back in the gym soon?
Think again
We don't want him to be 100, that'd be far too old even for him to make a difference!!IF Hes back for my birthday on the 30 then thats ok.. pointless bringing him back not 100 .. evo certainly wont.
Evo has mentioned him at least 3 or 4 times in the last month. He's back in training but needs more time to be ready for the bench. I suspect he may well travel to Ipswich. It does seem strange that he quite regularly isn't mentioned in the debriefs.
Worse injury than even the club thought?

Yes their wage doesn’t change if they’re injuredJust out of curiosity does anyone know if footballers are still on the same pay whilst rehabilitating.
The oystons have left the building, remembering the days of not paying players in the summer months, we have come along way not on the pitch yet but we will get there.Just out of curiosity does anyone know if footballers are still on the same pay whilst rehabilitating.
Not defending the Oystons , but the reduced wage in the summer was actually added to the wages throughout the playing season . The thinking behind this was that there was little income coming into the club during the summer . The players did not miss out financially. The oystons have left the building, remembering the days of not paying players in the summer months, we have come along way not on the pitch yet but we will get there.
It’s also interesting that a number of other clubs back then adopted the same model as many saw it as innovative - Port Vale for oneNot defending the Oystons , but the reduced wage in the summer was actually added to the wages throughout the playing season . All football did it up to the late 60s.All companies have boom and quiet periods throughout the calendar year. Retail booms during Christmas and boozers fly when England reach a sporting milestone.
How many people would be open to their PAYE wages 'flexing' with the business environment? Teachers getting 20% over the summer holidays perhaps?
NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!Shall I post a picture of myself in gym gear?
That does depend on the contract. They will have a base salary and then things like an appearance fee, goal bonus, clean sheet bonus etc. If they are injured, they will only get the base salary.Yes their wage doesn’t change if they’re injured
No we have loads of strikers! No need to rush him back
It was a slimy Cherry idea to take wages below the NIC threshold. Not defending the Oystons , but the reduced wage in the summer was actually added to the wages throughout the playing season . The thinking behind this was that there was little income coming into the club during the summer . The players did not miss out financially.
Ok let's rush him back for him to break down again because he'll not be fully fit and possibly be out for the rest of the season. No we have loads of strikers!
To be fair his injury wasn't caused through over exertion.Ok let's rush him back for him to break down again because he'll not be fully fit and possibly be out for the rest of the season.
Great idea!!
So are you suggesting we rush him back and risk a recurrence of the injury? No we have loads of strikers!
I'm not suggesting anything I'm just responding to the comment " there's no rush" we have two fit strikers so clearly we need him back as soon as possible, that clear it up?So are you suggesting we rush him back and risk a recurrence of the injury?
If not … what are you suggesting?
Not really. Absolutely everyone knows the striker situation and rushing Ennis back would be mental.I'm not suggesting anything I'm just responding to the comment " there's no rush" we have two fit strikers so clearly we need him back as soon as possible, that clear it up?
Having two actual strikers will make a big difference to us as whilst Bloxham has taken goals well he is not an out and out striker for me.Evo says should be on the bench against Barnsley , Ipswich will be too soon . Now back in full training .
‘The players did not miss out financially’ I don’t think we can use that sentence when discussing the stains. Not defending the Oystons , but the reduced wage in the summer was actually added to the wages throughout the playing season . The thinking behind this was that there was little income coming into the club during the summer . The players did not miss out financially.
Worth going to Barnsley just to see him come on for twenty minutes.Evo says should be on the bench against Barnsley , Ipswich will be too soon . Now back in full training .
I totally agree that we should not rush Ennis back but the Taylor reference is a little off. The 2 injuries had absolutely no connection; one was a muscle/ligament issue, the latest was a fractured metatarsal.I personally wouldn't rush Ennis back too soon hence what happened to Taylor, this season is a bit of a write off after the last 2 defeats and we have other options, Next season we need him fit raring to go
I don't think he will be rushed back, Evo has said as much.I personally wouldn't rush Ennis back too soon hence what happened to Taylor, this season is a bit of a write off after the last 2 defeats and we have other options, Next season we need him fit raring to go
1striker and Blox who has the potential to develop into a decent striker but was bought as a wingerI'm not suggesting anything I'm just responding to the comment " there's no rush" we have two fit strikers so clearly we need him back as soon as possible, that clear it up?
Exactly what I was thinking . Can't say he was rushed back too soon when his new injury was unrelated cos he got clonkedI totally agree that we should not rush Ennis back but the Taylor reference is a little off.
