Erasmus plus scheme. Seems unlikely this will happen in the future as we have withdrawn from Erasmus Plus , as we move to being a " Global Britain" !
Don’t post things like this, it completely ruins the anti Brexit narrative. You do know that there is an equivalent amount of money being put into opportunities which aren't limited to the EU?
It's called the Turing Scheme; would be great to get the kids to play an equivalent in the MLS perhaps.

One main difference being, if you enjoy your time in the host country, you won't be freely able to go back to live and work there in future. You do know that there is an equivalent amount of money being put into opportunities which aren't limited to the EU?

Seen the Erasmus scheme from both sides through the years.
Hordes of Americans coming over but often just for one term. They flew cheap to European cities as often as possible.
Uk students eventually becoming isolated and lonely at second rate colleges in unfashionable cities as their year dragged on.
Erasmus had became party time for the many and needed to go back to the drawing board.
But that wasn't what the O/P was about; it's was an incorrect throw away comment which is factually wrong. One main difference being, if you enjoy your time in the host country, you won't be freely able to go back to live and work there in future.
Which essentially makes migration a class level thing rather than for everyone. Ironically, this is now strangling the British economy as vegetables rot in Britsh farmfields unable to be picked due to visa requirements making much needed lower class foreign labour impossible to obtain. But that wasn't what the O/P was about; it's was an incorrect throw away comment which is factually wrong.
Meanwhile, if you're talented enough, you'll get a visa and do well wherever you live.

See my later post. Of course I know about it. Seems vastly inferior . We could have stayed in Erasmus but we declined. We will see what other countries engage with us on this. You do know that there is an equivalent amount of money being put into opportunities which aren't limited to the EU?

Well the UK have chucked it out now though I suspect many participants will have positive stories to tell.Seen the Erasmus scheme from both sides through the years.

So talent is a class thing?Which essentially makes migration a class level thing rather than for everyone. Ironically, this is now strangling the British economy as vegetables rot in Britsh farmfields unable to be picked due to visa requirements making much needed lower class foreign labour impossible to obtain.
Opportunity is definitely a class thing. So talent is a class thing?
Not talent in itself but the opportunity for a person to express their talent is largely influenced by a person's class. I prefer all people to be granted equal freedoms and rights which we used to have within Europe. So talent is a class thing?
Quite right. Not talent in itself but the opportunity for a person to express their talent is largely influenced by a person's class. I prefer all people to be granted equal freedoms and rights which we used to have within Europe.
Now though, it is largely only the upper, more educated classes that have chances to enjoy freedoms that were previous open to all.
Where did the all the white privilege go, or are all these mixed race and foreign Students all rich ?Quite right.
Keep these northern working class plebs in their place. We don't want them coming to our top Universities, storing coal in the bath, and tethering their whippets to the bicycle stands.
Sometimes, like me you have no or little talent and just want to live somewhere with a better climate and a different culture, that opportunity has now been massively diminished. But that wasn't what the O/P was about; it's was an incorrect throw away comment which is factually wrong.
Meanwhile, if you're talented enough, you'll get a visa and do well wherever you live.
Allowing talent to develop provides opportunities for the wealthy. Supporting talent provides opportunities for a far wider range of people. So talent is a class thing?
And the Turing Scheme aims to do just that, but to a wider range of countries.Allowing talent to develop provides opportunities for the wealthy. Supporting talent provides opportunities for a far wider range of people.
I agree, but specifically, Turing will offer very similar opportunities.Opportunity is definitely a class thing.
