None of the Animals liked Alan Price after he took the sole writing/arranging credit for “House of the Rising Sun” despite all the band contributing to it. The band were hoodwinked by their manager who said it was only ‘a formality’ that they could only fit one name on the record label and that it didn’t matter. Price left soon after. Price has made a fortune out of the royalties in the decades since.

Burdon’s recent work has been top notch. “ ‘Til Your River Runs Dry” is magnificent (2013).
