Still not a team of technical wizards, still trying to get by mostly on physicality, but it has to be a positive for England that a lot of these lads have league experience already and haven't just been plucked out of thin air to play.

Israel tricky side and better technically. England, as is usually obvious, nobody under 6ft job. How that translates when it gets to U21 level upwards and the opponent catches up physically is the usual story still to provide a different ending but it's another age group win.

Villa got a good young group coming through for Critchley to sort of manage. Tim Iroegbunam in midfield mopping everything up looked like two people stood on top of each other with a big coat on.
