Experience?

I'm not sure experience is a vital quality.

Look at Larry?
Rookie Larry = decent manager, well groomed chap.
Experienced Larry = haunted husk who looked like some sort terrifying Dickensian ghost of promotion past come to warn us of ambition.

Nathan Jones absolutely tore it up at Luton in his FIRST job. Was hopeless in his second.

Nigel Adkins was mustard before he started fannying about wearing sweaters and dressing as deputy head.

Owen Coyle was good at airdrie and the dingles before he got a Messiah complex and his act wore thin.

Jack Ross was mint at St Mirren in his first job

Jose at Porto or Jose at Spurs?

Therefore it can only be EVO!

If he wasn’t an ex- player (legend) and just a manager of Barrow would you even be interested in him?

See your method, but as stated would be Evo's second job. It doesn't always work. Don't get me wrong if he came back I would be happy and support him fully

But it would be Evo's second job,and you could say he has tore it up in his first,so it doesnt fit your arguement.

True, but it's still early and he hasnt failed yet. If anything getting Barrow to play like they are only further enhances his status. Hes playing some amazing stuff and is getting the most of of players and clearly managing them well.

The noise out of barrow is such that I have twice thought about going to Holker St to see them on a Pool-less day.

Putting aside the speculation, that's some achievement to make me think about travelling an hour to watch a team I don't support.

“Evo hasn’t enough experience “ “it’s only National League “ “ give him a season in League 2” All good arguments, however if he does just as well in the EFL he is then in demand a higher club goes after him and he goes. All the same people would be saying “ why didn’t we get him when we had chance “. Sometimes in life you have to take a chance, or you can go for the safe option eg. Grayson.
