FA Youth Cup tonight. (31 Oct).

Bump reminder.
It's a double header of FA Cup action this week starting tomorrow night at Chorley against Bolton.

A shameless 2nd bump.
Hopefully there will be some support for our youngsters tonight, weather permitting.

HT
0-0.
Very close evenly matched 1st half played at a frantic pace.
No clear cut chances for either side.
Pitch is a bit dead making life difficult for the players.

46mins.
Extremely careless play between the keeper and the defence presents a chance to Bolton which they duly dispatch.
1-0

55mins.
A second for Bolton this time with a bit of good fortune when a ricochet falls kindly for them and the resulting shot nestles into the corner of the net.
2-0.

A very disappointing performance from our youngsters tonight.
Bolton were physically far stronger than us and whilst they only probably had 2 chances they took them both.
I don't think we actually created a clear cut chance of our own.
If I'm being honest I don't think playing a back 3 suits the u18s.
We are also short of a centre forward with Taylor Bowen's out injured.
One positive is young RWB (u/16) Ky-Mani Leliendal who is currently being selected ahead of the much hyped Conor McVeigh.

Many thanks for keeping us informed Insy. For us who can’t make it these days your info and updates are invaluable. Once again thank you and please keep it up as long as you can.

Some of the players seem to have gone backward compared to last year
It does look a bit like that because there were eight 2nd year scholars in last night's starting line-up and three of those are already on pro-contracts, Jones, Miles & Opawole.
Individually there are some decent players but the "mix" isn't quite right so as a team they are under-performing, IMO of course.
