Not sure GT whether they will use the 'R' value or infections per 100k people as the measurement criteria, they’ve used the latter in the past and if thats the case then the NW is the new Tier 3I bet it doesn't save us though when it comes to handing out the tier status.
To be honest though, here on Wirral you wouldn't know there was the problem the way people wander round all over the pavement and in the shops. I really still don't think people get it. That, or they don't give a shite.
Seems to be the obvious common sense route..............but then, are you a politician? At the moment South Staffs is in the medium group. It's a good question TT but I'd guess each Tier 1 club will only sell tickets to ST holders and then only to those with a registered address in the area to reduce the risk
I don’t think there is a January lockdown. The tier restrictions are in place till March now and you either go up or down tiers after Dec 2nd.Good news for some, but alas not us. Not yet anyway, but I'm more confident that we will see fans back this season, possibly mid-late Feb if lucky.
Need to get the Jan lockdown out of the way and look then I reckon.
Don't see anything but Tier 3 until then, apart from Christmas.
Still think they need to address the non vaccy's before too much can change though.
Has the Christmas stuff been announced? Relaxation then will lead to tighter stuff in Jan, perhaps regional lockdown.I don’t think there is a January lockdown. The tier restrictions are in place till March now and you either go up or down tiers after Dec 2nd.
Agree about tier 3 for us.
I think he’s releasing the Christmas details in the next few days .Has the Christmas stuff been announced? Relaxation then will lead to tighter stuff in Jan, perhaps regional lockdown.
I believe Bristol isn’t fairing well now either. But those areas who avoided peaks earlier on are bound to catch up at some point without a vaccine.Swale in Kent just gone top of the league. Gulp......
Bit of a weird on Swale as there is no big metropolisBBC news just now, Swale worst covid rates in the country. 96.1% white ethnicity. Beavis and Butthead, above, will struggle with that one
According to the latest 'league table' of COVID cases per 100000. Blackpool is still 7 places below Lancahsire. Approx 50th in the national league table.Remember when Blackpool was set at a lower rate than the rest of Lancs a weeks back. Caused a bit of stir and didn’t last long
It didn't last long because everyone and their dog wanted tourists to come to the town at half term.Remember when Blackpool was set at a lower rate than the rest of Lancs a weeks back. Caused a bit of stir and didn’t last long
Think he’s made it clear that’s irrelevant Jack. It’s by county or region, and definitely not town.
Absolutely jack Some of are dying for a nice bottle of red and a few shots in a nice pubAccording to the latest 'league table' of COVID cases per 100000. Blackpool is still 7 places below Lancahsire. Approx 50th in the national league table.
Tier 2 at worst..
Get the pubs and the football club open for business!!
You can only assume complacency among the Crack On Regardless Charlies.Bit of a weird on Swale as there is no big metropolis
And in other news some poor souls are just dying.Absolutely jack Some of are dying for a nice bottle of red and a few shots in a nice pub
I think it's due to a big outbreak in the prison on the Isle of Sheppey.Bit of a weird on Swale as there is no big metropolis
I can feel a Thin Lizzy song coming on......I think it's due to a big outbreak in the prison on the Isle of Sheppey.
Oh scratchings shed, i don’t think there is any need to make me feel guilty now is there. And in other news some poor souls are just dying.
Come on Bada you can do better than that.Oh scratchings shed, i don’t think there is any need to make me feel guilty now is there.
what is a bada?Come on Bada you can do better than that.
Indeed what is it.what is a bada?
I’ve just googled itIndeed what is it.
The local paper reckon it’s only 11% between prisons and care homesI think it's due to a big outbreak in the prison on the Isle of Sheppey.
I think people must realise that the return of fans will probably cost the Club money with all the additional costs of stewarding.
Tonight there's going to be a jailbreak, my 2nd favourite bandI can feel a Thin Lizzy song coming on......
....somewhere in this town'.Tonight there's going to be a jailbreak, my 2nd favourite band
It's incredibly high there'It doesn't feel like a lockdown'
Covid-19 case numbers are dropping in most parts of England, but the South East's cases are rising.www.bbc.co.uk
FFS, if this brings our little village into Tier 3 I'll be fuming
....somewhere in this town'.
The location shouldn't be hard to find- try the jail Phil.
btw what's you No 1 band then?
It's a weird one Tim. About 20 mins drive from me, a few small towns, Sittingbourne, Faversham etc and nothing major. There are a couple of prisons on the Isle of Sheppey which have been hit bad. No major industries, employment, housing issues that I can think of. I do suspect it's possibly down to lack of playing by the rules sadly. It's incredibly high there
You would never be able to guess....somewhere in this town'.

Reportedly, Govt says restrictions that apply in different tiers won't be subject to negotiation and that decisions will be made on basis of:
- Cases among all age groups
- Cases among over-60s
- Rate by which cases are rising or falling
- Prevalence of virus in community
- Pressure on NHS
So the R rate forms only a part of the algorithm (R rate is estimated anyway, not measured).
Also, it isn't easy to quantify many of the other contributory factory.
So my belief is the Tier determined for each region (or city) won't be underpinned by scientific or mathematical justification, it'll jus be "because we say so".
Tier 3 coming to a place near you soon!
It was OK with just 1000. Still created an atmosphere.I think either way I'm going to wait until as many go as want to - don't think it'd be the same with just a couple of thousand fans in (I say this as a season ticket holder!).
