Bev Bevan is a better drummer than most people realise.
Not true. The Beatles were always reliant on his timing in the early days when they were working to strict studio sessions. He struggled to even keep 4/4 time...
As someone mentioned earlier, Steve Gadd, but for me it would be Jon Hiseman. Brilliant drummer with John Mayall, Graham Bond Organisation and founder of Colosseum. You can view several of his solos on youtube. R.I.P. Jon. Never forgotten.Think its Rick Allen Def Leppard, he replaced Tony Kenning.
You’re right, my mistake.saw him at Germany’s Monsters of Rock (86?)Think its Rick Allen Def Leppard, he replaced Tony Kenning.
I can just about keep 4/4 time and that's it. Guitar and bass are my items of choice.Have you ever played the drums ?
Frank Zappa. And if anyone says Phil Collins, I'll be round to your house pronto..
For me, given pure energy and timing, has to be Clem Burke of Blondie fame. Just listen to any Blondie track and feel that timing - the unsung member..
One of my sisters best mates was a drummer with the Glitter band and he's from Blackpool. Ronnie something or other ?The Glitter band had two top drummers
