Finally some good injury news ..

When you look at the squad we are so vulnerable in some certain key areas at the moment - midfield worries me a lot and I think we all know if Jerry or Maxwell got injured that would probably be game over.

What a hero Gretarsson has reveal himself to be this week:
- Part of a small Icelandic Blackpool FC supporters group when he was younger.
- Playing without eating after returning from an injury that sidelined him for months.
- Still looked like he didn't want to come off after that.

Viking blood running through his veins!

Great player Gretarrson, always worries me because he seems to get injured at least 5 times in every game. Would be first name on the team sheet for me.

It must of been a hell of a wake up call coming from playing basically a non contact game abroad, played on astroturf to the physicality of the English game. Every credit, hes took it in his stride.

Turton and Gretarrson look a good, and organised combination. Would be tempted to keep it the same again even though Ballard is available again.
I guess he would give more aerial strength though?

Very disrespectful that

He was playing in the Norwegian top flight

I very much doubt when European qualifications are on the line its non contact

And also the surprise news that Keshi Anderson may be back before the season ends - whenever that may be !

Harsh on Turts but I’d go with Ballard as we know it’s going to be aerial and physical.
He might push Turts back to RB

A different level of physicality would of been a more appropriate term,no offense to the Norwegian league.

Proved himself to be a shrewd acquisition. He’s getting better as well, as the season progresses.
I was more worried by our lack of forward options on the bench. Fortunately we didn’t need a Plan B. Where the feck is Goal Machine?

It's the final piece of the jigsaw. I think, as long as we don't get any more injuries, we can cope without Stewart, Anderson, Virtue and Hamilton (which on it's own makes a bloody good midfield!) but we need another option up front. Simms is OK but he is lacking that matchday guile which you only get with experience at this level.

If you listen to his interview on last Thursday's preview show he does say that himself.

Yeah he said it in the Preview Show on Thursday on the clubs YouTube channel.

Something along the lines that they all support Premier League teams in Iceland, and whilst we were there we became some peoples 2nd team due to the way we played and he was a part of that so he claims!
