Totally agree - looks to have loads of potential. Always wants the ball and shows for the pass. Same with Thompson at LB - a great addition by the look of things.
Just need to get the right blend of midfielders so we get enough possession. 2nd half today showed there's work to be done.
 
Thought he did quite well, some of his passing was a bit wayward and he was dawdling a bit when he got caught in possession a few times in dangerous areas, but I'm sure that match sharpness will come with games.

He was positive going forward though, showed for the ball and tried to control the game, found less space second half so was less effective. All in all a decent debut and a 7.5/10 for me.

He has obvious quality on the ball, as you'd expect from his background.

Our midfield is going to be very different this year and LF will be the focal point.

My only concern is a totally hypothetical one, that all that could work against him is if he started showboating. Good player, glad we've got him.

I reckon Marvin misplaced more passes than Fiorini today - played in there no. 14 a good few times in the first half alone !! And I’m not having a go at Marvin either. I thought all the defence had a good game.
 
Always looking for the ball and an opportunity to get the ball forward. Made a lot more good passes than misplaced ones. Agree however he got outmuscled a few times but he wasn’t alone in that regard amongst the Team.

Thought he showed enough signs that he will be excellent for us this season. Yes, he over hit a couple of passes but also so made enough decent ones and most his play was direct and with intention. Always wanted to get on the ball and can carry it forward well.

Very tidy player
 
I’d rather a player take a chance with a risky pass then play safe all the time in certain positions and if they have it in their locker. CA was the king of it.

I wasn't impressed with Virtue but there's a player there. Carey does better with someone like Stewart, Connolly or Dougall alongside him.

Fiorini ran the midfield in the first half - he pinged some lovely balls and always wanted the ball. Slightly less effective second half but still had a decent half.
 
Delighted with his debut. Quality is hard to come by and he has it in buckets and spades. When things gel later in season, he will be a catalyst, mark my words.
 
Fiorini is quality… once he’s had more game time and got his fitness levels up, he’ll be running the show for 70/80 mins per match, not just the first 30/40 mins we saw today, mark my words..,,,
 
Fiorini was class today. He did some sublime passes I’m sure some supporters are blind or fall asleep or watch different games haha
 
A big future ahead for him.
It's a rarity to see a young player whose qualities are so apparent at first sight.
Comfortable on the ball with time to pick out a pass.
He's only 20 and still plenty to learn but he looks a natural to me.
 
Thought he was quality, gave the ball away a couple of times but I love the fact he gets his head up and has that vision to pick the killer pass, something we’ve been massively lacking these past few seasons
 
The pre season pattern of playing 45 minutes then changing the team caught up with us yesterday. They didn't look like they can go 90 minutes. Need to get up to speed sharpish.
