We've assembled the best squad in the division imo and there's now a great togetherness about this group.
It will be a new experience for them playing in front of partisan spectators for the first time but they should take great belief into this game after the way they played in the away league game.
It's fair to say that since then we've improved our striking options (Simms was not a starter in that game) and some of our key players are now back from injury to strengthen the squad.
I'm very confident that we can win this game but no doubt some of their fans will be feeling the same.

Wow - a lot of confidence there. I can't press Oxford win for fear of jinxing it but I think it will be squeaky bum tight making Friday even more unbearable. Have always found the Play Off semi finals far worse than the actual final. The two legged affair, the unpredictable nature of them and the whole home/away advantage thing makes it far more of a lottery. At least with a Play Off final it's a 90 minute game on a neutral ground where the best team wins.

What? Like West Ham and Torquay?

I don't believe home advantage is a significant factor in these play-offs. The single most important thing is that we're still in the tie after the first leg. The nightmare scenario is what happened to Chelsea women against Barcelona at weekend. A goal down in 30 seconds then four down at half time. That can easily happen to any team. One goal down with an away goal would be acceptable, but I'll be happy if we're still in the tie by tomorrow.

It'll help Blackpool and Sunderland.
Blackpool's supporters are 2nd to none in situations like this and IF Sunderland are still in the tie I expect Lincoln to buckle with 10,000 Makems baying for blood. Alternatively it could go the other way at the SoL and work against Sunderland.
You could have 300 at Bloomfield Rd next Friday and itd sound like 10,000

I believe it will be a 1-1 draw with us missing a few chances and Oxford getting a late goal to make friday even more tense.

We don’t want to concede early. Oxford will go for it tonight and if they get an early goal I’ll worry. Really important to keep it tight for the first 15 minutes and settle and grow in to the game. If we score first i fancy our chances to atleast get a draw. Last nights championship play off games were extremely tight and cagey. A narrow defeat isn’t the end of the world and players like Kai Kai and Yates will feed off the supporters in the home leg

Oxford will play an attacking line up and like to push their left and right backs forward. That will create space on the wings for Garbutt and Gabriel. Think our crossing is going to be really important tonight. We mustn’t lose the midfield battle and their ability to feed Matt Taylor. We nullified them back in March. We need to do that again
