Five good, five bad from Liverpool

Should we be getting carried away - either positively or negatively - after yesterday's performance?

We've picked out the positives and negatives from the performance, which had plenty of encouraging points, but also plenty of things for us to improve on.

Let's remember that while we looked like we hadn't played together before in the second half, that's because we hadn't - three debutants came on at half-time.

It will take time and this is only the start, so we should consider being patient and trust in Critchley.

Let us know your thoughts.

All Positive To be beating the world European and English champions with our virtual first team at half time. No disgrace second half with so many changes made. Up the mighty Pool

We should remember that there were Liverpool players out there who are World Class.
No need to get carried away.

Nobody likes to be on the wrong end of a 7-2 score line. However it is hard to feel downbeat and maybe it is another good thing to have expectations tempered. With all the new players to be integrated into the team we are a work in progress. Should add to Critchley and the squads motivation to learn and improve. All good.

Fairly sound summary that. Not much I would want to disagree with other than I'd big Kemp up a bit more than you did. He's very much in the Conor Ronan style bracket.
I think it's a bit early to compare Kemp with Ronan tbh. One or two glimpses yesterday, need to see more.

How many times did Kemp touch the ball? I didn't see a lot myself. Looking forward to seeing more though.

Agree Kemp looked good. The point I was trying to make was that the debutants who came on at HT didn’t get chance to impact the game.

Looks like Kemp will impact the first team and could start against Barrow along with Bez
