From Rags to Criches

Its been a fantastic turn around

However we have achieved nothing yet

4 more wins please 🙏
4 more wins would be the icing, but I'm not like most on here, yes it would be fantastic to go up, however I wouldn't be downbeat if we didn't. The progress made from Oct onwards has been outstanding and needs to be built on- the next level could be a bit too far I fear.

The rags being the shameful, tatty Oi!Scums and the Critches being the whole club who have managed to cement a play off berth at the first attempt alongside all other things good. Someone at Blackpool kissed the right frog.

Well done each and all.

Incredible achievement, REGARDLESS of the outcome of next 3-4 games. Who wouldn't have taken a play off spot at the start of the season?

That being said, let's see how far this team and Manager can go with all our support.

The turn around in itself is an achievement. If someone told me 7 games in "you'd be 3rd in the league on the final day" I'd have been concerned for their mental well being.

Longest unbeaten run in most of our lifetimes whilst suffering from one of the worst injury crises in our lifetimes. If we lose the play-offs they can still walk off whatever pitch it happens on with their heads held high for this season, and we should be applauding whichever television screen we're watching it on. The future is bright regardless of how this season ends.

Coupled with the fact that we now have very good established foundations both on and off the pitch given the short time SS took over the reigns. When you consider he came in almost 2 years ago and has missed out on match day revenue for well over a season plus, he’s kept his target alive of being in the Championship within 3 years.

How many Managers/Coaches, whatever they call themselves, has made it to the Play-offs at their first ever appointment?
I expect someone will find a similar coach somewhere. But I doubt it.
And a 50% win ratio have we ever had a manger do that?

I think I read somewhere Joe Smith from the post war years was near 50 percent ,but Critch is this era and if he keeps his mojo and we can keep him the future looks bright.
Who else thinks our style of football now will be better suited to the Championship?
