Gate

8116 according to Sky - seemed to be @1100 BW at start but looked again later and looked more like 1500!

Seemed a lot more than 8116. Even the south was a lot busier than it normally is and the north was almost full. I’d have said 1500+ from Bolton too

Michelle, I was sitting by myself in the first half with three empty seats on one side and eight on the other in the South Stand, so move in the second half to fill a space next to Wizzard. The South seemed quiet to me.

Crowds are poor atm. We need a new manager in who gets us playing some good results and playing some good stuff. We may get 5 figure gates then. I think the grayson effect and lack of results made the crowds dip and also with us having nothing but pride to play for for the rest of the season the floaters aint bothering. The die hards will go no matter what, but we do have quite a few fickle fans who only tend to go when the going is good. Which is a shame.

Why do people always contest attendances?
If you buy a ST or gain a freebie and don't turn up you will be counted.

It's like every club is on the fiddle when folk argue about who goes threw the gate I bet Simon would love that NOT.

"Crowds are poor atm."

1. 8000+ on a freezing Tuesday night after the run of form we've had is not poor
2. In context to where we are it is still remarkable
3. Had this game have been when scheduled it would have been a 10,000 plus crowd

We're still on for an impressive average attendance. I would say we're anywhere but in a poor state.

Rather than Poor I would say "disappointing" due to the fact that the club has missed a huge opportunity to capitalise on the "feel good factor" after the demise of the Os & when SS bought the club. The appointment of SG as manager & the subsequent football on offer is to blame

Must admit I thought the crowd was disappointing but it's a reflection of where we are - you couldn't keep serving up anti-football and expect fans to lap it up
Pity that both home and away derby matches v Bolton have been badly affected by rescheduling as they should be the highlight of the season

Yes, the crowd was good considering both the weather and some of the football we've been served of late. At least we're starting to see a spark of potential now and as Spring comes through I expect the gates to recover.
